Among those who perished at the Christian camp outside Hunt, Texas, was Chloe Childress, an 18-year-old counselor remembered by her family for her “contagious joy, countless friends, unending faith, and unimaginable energy.”

While Wendie and Matthew Childress were dealing with the sudden loss of their daughter, a Florida woman was allegedly impersonating the bereaved parents online in an attempt to make a quick buck.

Maitlin White, a 28-year-old with ties to Crestview, Florida, has been charged with two felony counts of online impersonation. White allegedly pretended to be Matthew Childress and created SpotFund and GoFundMe pages where she solicited public donations to support the fallen teen’s family.

The crowdfunding platform indicated that the alleged fraudster was unable to access the funds.

White, who is reportedly not yet in custody, is hardly the only person who allegedly exploited the tragic flood.

For instance, a number of liberals tried to put a political spin on the deaths of American children, in one case insinuating that the parents of the dead were racists…..

‘We will deport these thugs’: Rubio’s State Department revokes 100,000+ visas in 2025, putting Biden’s numbers to shame

The Trump administration has intensified its efforts to enhance vetting of foreign nationals entering the U.S., resulting in a record number of visa revocations.

The Department of State announced that in 2025, it revoked over 100,000 foreign visas, including 8,000 student visas and 2,500 specialized worker visas. That figure is more than double the number of visas that were revoked in 2024 — 40,000 — under former President Joe Biden’s leadership.

Foreign nationals whose visas were canceled included those who had encounters with U.S. law enforcement for criminal activity, the State Department reported.

“We will continue to deport these thugs to keep America safe,” the department stated.

The majority of those revoked by the State Department were for business and tourist travelers who overstayed their visas, Fox News Digital reported.

Some students and specialized workers who had their visas revoked also reportedly lost their legal status…..

Mainstream media lies about ICE shooting video of Renee Good

By now, everyone has had an opportunity to review the footage of the shooting death of Renee Good, who was killed by an ICE officer while in her car in Minneapolis last week. We have seen footage from different angles and at different speeds. We’ve seen it from different perspectives. Finally, we’ve been able to see and hear what happened immediately before and after the shooting.

New footage emerged on Friday afternoon, and we’ve not had the opportunity to address it on Rising yet. So let’s watch.

This new footage does clear up some popular misconceptions. It does not appear, for instance, that Good received conflicting instructions from the officers. What it looks and sounds like is that she was following her partner’s instructions to flee the scene. That line, “drive baby drive,”  spoken by her wife, is very telling.

The new footage does not necessarily answer, however, the only relevant question, which is whether the officer who shot and killed Good, Jonathan Ross, had a reasonable fear for his life. So many in the media are getting this wrong, and stating that he shouldn’t have fired on Good for trying to flee the scene. This is true; fleeing the scene on its own is not a satisfactory reason for him to shoot at her. He was entitled to shoot, however, if her vehicle was headed toward him and he thought she was going to mow him down — even if she wasn’t planning to do that, and even if getting out of the way was, in hindsight, a better option.

So many commentators are becoming emotional about this. It doesn’t matter that she said she wasn’t mad at him, and that he called her a bad name after shooting at her. It doesn’t matter whether she was blocking traffic or whether the police were right to detain her the first place. It doesn’t matter whether Ross was previously dragged by a vehicle, and in fact, his own political views, and hers, don’t matter at all.

The only thing that matters is whether Ross, reasonably fearing for his life, was justified in firing at an oncoming vehicle.

Cooler heads, by which I mean experts in the legal system and law enforcement, will make that decision by reviewing all the footage. Only a well-trained expert in the use of force can determine, based on what we can see and based on the principles of the presumption of innocence that Ross is afforded, whether he was justified in shooting her.

I know everyone on social media and every talking head on cable news, right and left, thinks they’re qualified to make that determination. You’re not. So calm down. ….

‘Double-Double’ trouble for In N Outs across SoCal as female hamburglars pass off dozens of bogus $100 bills

Two female hamburglars passed dozens of bogus $100 bills to buy eats at more than 20 In N Out locations in California, cops said Monday.

Auriona Lewis and Tatiyanna Foster, both of Long Beach, were separately in and out of a total of 21 of the burger joints in the ketchup caper — ordering just fries or “The Flying Dutchman,” an off-the-menu favorite featuring two patties and cheese, Glendale Police told The Post.

“They were ordering the smallest stuff so they could get the most cash from the change.” said Glendale Sgt. Gaik Pobokhian.

Surveillance tape obtained by The Post shows one of the suspects at the beloved California chain — known for such greasy goodies as its “Double-Double” two-patty burger — in pink pants and passing a counterfeit bill to buy fries.

The scheme began unraveling Oct. 21 when an eagle-eyed worker at a Glendale In N Out called the cops to report that a fake c-note had been passed.

The detective made some phone calls and discovered it was happening all over LA County. After looking through surveillance tape, officers were able to identify Lewis by her license plate, police said…

Israeli-Backed Palestinian Group Kills Senior Hamas Police Officer in Gaza, Threatens More Attacks

An Israeli–backed Palestinian militia said on Monday it had killed a senior Hamas police officer in the southern Gaza Strip, an incident which Hamas blamed on “Israeli collaborators.”

A statement from the Hamas-run interior ministry said gunmen opened fire from a passing car, killing Mahmoud Al-Astal, head of the criminal police unit in Khan Younis, in the south of the enclave. It described the attackers as “collaborators with the occupation.”

Hussam Al-Astal, leader of an anti-Hamas group based in an area under Israeli control east of Khan Younis, claimed responsibility for the killing in a video he posted on his Facebook page. The surname he shares with the dead man, Al-Astal, is common in that part of Gaza.

“To those who work with Hamas, your destiny is to be killed. Death is coming to you,” he said, dressed in a black military-style uniform and clutching an assault rifle.

Reuters could not independently verify the circumstances of the attack. An Israeli military official said the army was not aware of any operations in the area.

The emergence of armed anti-Hamas groups, though still small and localized, has added pressure on the ruling Islamist terror group and could complicate efforts to stabilize and unify a divided Gaza, shattered by two years of war…..

January 11, 2026 – Cover Story Minnesota Investigations

We begin today in the troubled city of Minneapolis Minnesota. Tensions are heightened and investigations up and running after a federal immigration agent shot and killed a woman who was allegedly barreling her car toward him Wednesday.

There are claims of self defense on one side, and accusations of murder on the other. But the agents are there in the first place under a massive surge of 2,000 Homeland Security agents, deployed in part to investigate a multi billion dollar fraud scandal. How could such massive scams happen— and go on for so long? Lisa Fletcher reports.

A little more than a week after the U.S. raid on Venezuela, a regional power shift is being felt. The Trump administration is making sweeping oil deals with the interim president, Maduro’s former vice president.

And after Colombia’s president put in a conciliatory call to President Trump, he scored an invite to an upcoming meeting in Washington DC to address drug flow and other interests. Political observers say it’s all part of Trump’s focus on addressing security threats in our own backyard.

Artificial Intelligence or AI seems to be permeating every facet of life from education to our court system. And when AI makes mistakes, as it frequently does, if the humans involved don’t check their facts it can cause big problems.

I recently spoke to Senator Chuck Grassley, head of the Judiciary Committee, who’s taking on the issue as it impacts America’s courtrooms.

January 12, 2026

Bill Maher just exposed California’s bureaucracy nightmare — and even Hollywood liberals are finally seeing what we’ve been saying for years. $1.7 MILLION for a single toilet.

A FREE toilet that still cost $900,000 in fees. 627 days to get permission to build a house. 87 permits across 6 agencies.

And one year after the LA fires, 86% of families are STILL waiting for permission to rebuild their own homes. California doesn’t have a housing crisis. California has a PERMISSION crisis.
