Distressing photo appears to show aborted baby sucking thumb while left to die

Photo: Baby Samuel (Dr. Joanna Howe/X)

Dr. Joanna Howe, a Professor of Law at the University of Adelaide and a pro-life activist, shared a photo of “Baby Samuel” on Twitter last week, who was said to have been aborted alive and left to die in what’s known as a “butterfly room” — a special suite for parents who experience a stillbirth. Howe wrote:

“This is baby Samuel. Born alive after an abortion at 16 weeks, he sucked his thumb in the Butterfly Room at a QLD hospital. He lived for over 30 minutes. He was perfectly healthy prior to his abortion. Babies who survive their abortion have no legislative right to equal treatment and care under QLD law. He was left to die. No-one picked him up, wrapped him or gave him any medical care to alleviate his pain and suffering.

This photo was passed onto me by a hospital worker who was called to look at him by others who were watching him as he sucked his thumb after his abortion. Already it is being censored online and pro-abortion activists are seeking to identify the brave whistleblower who risked their career to give us this photo.”

Samuel’s picture has spread around the globe thanks to social media, but pro-abortion groups and Townsville Hospital in Queensland are claiming there is no evidence that Samuel is an abortion victim who was born alive and left to die.

Townsville Hospital is said to be investigating the situation as a privacy breach, and The Guardian reported, “No evidence was given to support” that Samuel was born alive during an abortion, and “health experts have previously said claims by anti-abortion activists that large numbers of babies are ‘born alive’ after abortions are misleading…”

However, even abortionists have admitted that babies are born alive during abortions. In an episode of her podcast, Howe shared testimony from Dr. Elisha Broom, acting director of obstetrics at Logan Hospital and counsellor for RANZCOG. Broom said:

We should be really clear that babies born alive at these gestations, say 16-22 weeks, resulting from an abortion, is not a failed abortion. It’s not an unexpected, unintended consequence. We know these babies will be born alive, but they’re previable. So this is existing practice. This is what happens with the current legislation.

Howe also shared testimony from a whistleblower, midwife Louise Adsett, who works at the same hospital as Broom….

Doctors said she’d had a miscarriage, only to find her baby was still alive

In 2024, Norris filed her lawsuit and is now speaking publicly about her ordeal. In an interview with KTNV, Norris explained she was initially hopeful about her pregnancy, and had previously experienced a miscarriage.

At Women’s Health Associates of Southern Nevada, she was given a pregnancy test, which came back positive; two days later, she began bleeding, and returned to the clinic. Staff then performed an ultrasound, where she was told that she had fibroid tumors, and that while a fetal pole could be seen, there was no heartbeat.

At first, Norris was told it might simply be too early, and another test still came back positive for pregnancy. She was told to return in a week for another ultrasound, which she did; again, Norris was told there was no heartbeat, and that her preborn baby showed no signs of growth. Nurse Paige Cook reportedly recommended that Norris undergo a D&C, because she did not have a “viable pregnancy.”

“We just wanted to make sure everything was going to go right before we told anybody,” Norris said. “It’s incredibly traumatic. You know you kind of just go, this was it… this was probably the last chance to have a baby.”

Dr. Sheldon Paul performed a D&C the same day, and sent Norris home.

A little later, Norris returned to the clinic, feeling like something wasn’t right.

This time, she was seen by Nurse Jennifer Wagner; Norris told Wagner she was still bleeding, and experiencing sharp, extreme abdominal pain. Wagner performed another ultrasound, but no pregnancy test, and told Norris that the most common reason for miscarriage is a “genetic incompatibility with life” and that “when a viable fetus does not form, SAB (spontaneous abortion) can not be prevented and that nothing could have been done to change the outcome.”

Wagner then prescribed Cytotec to Norris, saying it would cause contractions to pass her baby’s body, which was apparently believed to have been missed during the D&C.

But instead of filling the prescription, Norris went to Centennial Hills Hospital….

Federal data shows $1B+ in foreign funding to Michigan’s top universities

The reports, released this week by the U.S. Department of Education, include updated 2025 disclosures from 555 American colleges and universities.

The University of Michigan–Ann Arbor ranked 27th nationally for total foreign funding since 2015, while the University of Michigan ranked 56th and Michigan State University ranked 73rd.

The release is part of a broader transparency push by the Trump administration aimed at strengthening oversight of foreign financial ties in higher education.

“President Trump and Secretary [Linda] McMahon are demanding full transparency around the foreign dollars flowing into America’s colleges and universities,” White House spokeswoman Liz Huston told TCS. “Exposing these foreign ties protects the integrity of academic research and safeguards our national security.”

In 2025, U.S. institutions reported more than $5.2 billion in foreign funding across more than 8,300 transactions.

Since 2015, colleges and universities have disclosed $67.6 billion in foreign gifts and contracts, with Harvard University reporting the highest total. The funding originates from 220 countries, led by Qatar, China and Germany.

Under federal law, institutions must disclose foreign gifts and contracts valued at $250,000 or more. The federal government estimates, however, that only about 60% of foreign transactions are reported accurately and on time.

McMahon said the new public reporting portal is intended to improve transparency…

Georgia Republican Gov. Candidate Rick Jackson Runs Company Helping Recruit for Planned Parenthood

Jackson, who runs a massive healthcare company called Jackson Healthcare, announced Tuesday he would enter the Republican primary for governor of Georgia, joining a crowded field that includes Trump-endorsed Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones.

The businessman is running on his business record, but there is plenty that primary voters may not like about how he runs companies.

A key component of Jackson Healthcare is LocumTenens.com, a job recruitment service provider to the healthcare industry. That company not only searches for potential employees for abortion giant Planned Parenthood but also recruits doctors specializing in sex-rejection surgeries and the so-called transitioning of underage children.

For example, one of LocumTenens.com live job listings at the time of Jackson’s announcement included a bilingual Planned Parenthood nurse in Minnesota — a state which has become the face of resistance against Trump.

According to the listing, clinicians filling the position “are also advocates in implementing our mission of ‘To affirm the right to reproductive and sexual health and freedom for all by providing excellent care, trusted education, and fierce advocacy.’”

Jackson’s company also had a job listing for a pediatric endocrinologist who would treat a “growing number of [child] transgender patients.”

A listing also live on the day of Jackson’s announcement sought a pediatric specialist for transgender patients in a North Dakota community described as “combining small-town friendliness with the cultural offerings of a large city” in a “diverse, family-oriented community.”…

Exclusive: ‘The American People Are Not Going to Tolerate Inaction,’ Scott Presler Warns Senate on SAVE America Act

The discussion, hosted by Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX), focused on the stakes surrounding voter ID and proof-of-citizenship requirements — central provisions of the SAVE America Act, which passed the House on February 12 by a narrow 218-213 vote, with just one Democrat, Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX), breaking party ranks.

Presler, founder and executive director of Early Vote Action, has emerged as a leading grassroots force championing the bill, which builds on the original SAVE Act introduced in 2024 but never taken up by the Senate.

Presler detailed the origins of his group, explaining it was founded in response to election integrity debacles in November 2022. “If we don’t change the way that we vote and fight fire with the gosh darn flame thrower, well, we’re going to keep losing elections,” he asserted, referencing issues such as paper shortages and machine errors.

As the conversation turned to the realities of voter fraud, Roy pushed back on claims that the problem is overstated. “We’re finding examples. We’re going out and doing it,” he insisted, pointing to “literally the Department of Justice prosecuting fraud.” He recalled a case in which “an individual who was here illegally, registered to vote in Maryland and ended up being a school superintendent in Des Moines, Iowa.”

Roy pressed Attorney General Pam Bondi during a House Judiciary hearing: “I said, Attorney General Bondi, have you all been finding fraud and prosecuting fraud? She said, absolutely.” He added, “Even if we’re successful in arresting people, prosecuting them for fraud. Do you unring the bell of the vote that was cast? No. The vote gets cast.”

Presler spotlighted instances of alleged legal violations in swing counties, including Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where he said Democratic Commissioner Diane Marseglia audibly declared during a meeting, “We’re not going to follow the law,” before attempting to count “misstated and undated” ballots against the law after the fact. He credited public pressure and social media attention with ultimately intervening.

He also cited Minnesota’s system of voter “vouching,” where registered voters can affirm the eligibility of others without ID, describing it as “trust me, bro” level security. “Tell me that didn’t make a difference in 312 votes,” he posed, referencing Sen. Al Franken’s 2008 election.

The bill is now in the Senate’s hands, where it faces the 60-vote threshold due to the filibuster. Presler reported that 41 senators had already signed on, including Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), and called for public pressure to bring the bill to the Senate floor.

The SAVE America Act would require proof of citizenship for voter registration and photo identification at the ballot box in federal elections. It also directs states to purge non-citizens from voter rolls and allows information sharing between state election offices and federal agencies, including DHS…

Transportation chief Sean Duffy mandates merit-based hiring of US airline pilots

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has ordered US airlines to institute merit-based hiring processes — on pain of federal investigation, The Post can exclusively reveal.

Under a new so-called “Operations Specification,” each airline will have to certify that its pilots are selected based only on experience and aptitude.

“When families board their aircraft, they should fly with confidence knowing the pilot behind the controls is the best of the best. The American people don’t care what their pilot looks like or their gender — they just care that they are most qualified man or woman for the job,” said Duffy in a statement.

“Safety drives everything we do, and this commonsense measure will increase transparency between passengers and airlines.”

Airlines for America, the top lobbying group representing North American airlines, issued a statement approving of the move.

“A4A carriers comply with all federal regulations and laws, including those related to qualifications, training, and licensing,” a rep said.

The Department of Transportation has slashed diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs and funding touted by Duffy’s predecessor, Pete Buttigieg, since the former Wisconsin congressman took over last year….
