Trump presses Senate to vote on SAVE America Act as part of funding bill
President Trump is pushing Senate Republicans to vote on an election integrity bill that would largely ban mail-in ballots, as such votes are delaying calls in key California primary races.
Republicans appear willing to comply and offer it as an amendment to the filibuster-proof $70 billion immigration enforcement funding bill they were debating on the floor Thursday.
“The president wants us to vote on the SAVE [America] Act. We voted on it once. He’s entitled to ask again. We’re letting him draft it, and we’re going to vote on it,” said Sen. John Kennedy, Louisiana Republican.
The SAVE America Act requires proof of citizenship to register to vote and photo ID to cast a ballot, plus forces states to clean up their voter rolls using a federal citizenship database.
Mr. Trump has repeatedly pushed for a version that also bans states from automatically sending out absentee ballots to all registered voters.
He has said the only people who should be able to vote by mail are active duty military and others who have legitimate reasons for not being able to vote in person, such as disability, illness or travel.
His latest sales pitch comes as a late surge of mail-in votes in California’s jungle primary held Tuesday is delaying final results in close races, where the top two vote-getters, regardless of party, advance to the general election in November.
“Look what’s happening in California, the Dumocrats, right before our very eyes, are stealing the Vote,” the president posted on Truth Social. “I hope the Republicans are watching so that they can finally pass THE SAVE AMERICA ACT!”

Even as major crime in New York City fell to historic lows, antisemitic incidents surged dramatically in May, exposing a troubling contradiction at the heart of one of the world’s most prominent Jewish communities.
New NYPD data shows that hate crimes jumped 74.4% year over year in May, rising to 68 confirmed incidents compared with 39 in May 2025.
Of those, 41 targeted Jewish New Yorkers — representing 60.3% of all confirmed hate crimes in the city and a 71% increase over the 24 anti-Jewish incidents recorded in the same month last year.
The numbers are striking in their disproportion: Jewish residents make up roughly 10% of New York City’s population, yet they remain the single most targeted group in the city’s hate crime statistics.
The surge unfolded during the same month that thousands flooded city streets for a massive pro-Israel parade, a vivid public demonstration of support for the Jewish community. Yet off those same streets, Jewish houses of worship faced a different reality.
On May 11, an anti-Israel demonstration outside a Brooklyn synagogue turned violent after protesters marched through the Midwood neighborhood chanting for an intifada. Mark Treyger, CEO of the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, cited that incident directly in his response to the new data.
“We are never going to resolve international disputes at the doors of houses of worship,” Treyger said, adding that the city still has “a lot more to do” to protect Jewish residents.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani drew criticism from Jewish leaders after declining to attend the pro-Israel parade. Scott Richman, director of the Anti-Defamation League’s New York/New Jersey region, went further, calling a “Nakba” day video released by Mamdani “incredibly incendiary” — warning that rhetoric that assigns collective blame to Jewish communities creates a climate where violence becomes more likely…..

Feds charge 14 in Ohio fraud schemes, totaling $50M
Federal prosecutors announced charges against 14 individuals in Ohio on allegations of fraud totaling as much as $50 million.
Two state employees were included in a 32-count indictment for allegedly billing $30 million for therapeutic behavioral services that were never provided, acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said on Thursday.
Prosecutors also unsealed an indictment charging four defendants with defrauding a COVID relief program.
“Sadly, Ohio is facing some of the most signficant fraud schemes in the country,” Blanche said. “Our response has been and will continue to be aggressive, comprehensive, and we will not stop until we fix this problem.”
Dr. Mehmet Oz, administrator of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, said one-third of the home health care funds billed across Ohio came from the Columbus area. He explained the home health care fraud largely came from individuals who billed for autism services that were never provided.
Oz said the average provider of autism services makes $200,000 per year, but one of the providers in Ohio was making more than $3 million.
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine announced a six-month moratorium on new home health care and hospice care in Ohio, Oz said.
“We hope that will help at least slow the bleeding using a surgical metaphor, so we can get a bandage on the wound, maybe put a couple stitches in and take out some of the folks who have been stabbing the patient of Medicaid,” Oz said.
Prosecutors also announced charges against five individuals with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to engage in money laundering.
David Toepher, U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, said the individuals used romance schemes against elderly Americans in Ohio to fund legal proceedings in Ghana, where four of the individuals are citizens.
Toepher said the individuals obtained more than $15 million from over 100 elderly people across the United States between July 2024 and April 2026.
“They then used the stolen money to buy a mansion in Ghana, diamond-encrusted jewelry, a Lamborghini and other high-end luxury vehicles,” Toepher said. “All those assets have been seized and are going through the forfeiture proceedings, so they will not profit from their fraudulent efforts.”…
House poised to pass Ukraine aid over the objections of Republican leaders
The House is on course to pass legislation that would aid Ukraine and sanction key segments of the Russian economy despite opposition from Republican leaders who warn the bill will undermine negotiations designed to achieve a comparable but stronger result.
The legislation, sponsored by Rep. Gregory Meeks, D-N.Y., seeks to cement U.S. assistance for Ukraine by providing more than $1 billion in security and reconstruction aid.
It would make another $8 billion available for Ukraine’s defense through loans.
The vote could generate the second major foreign policy break this week in the House with President Donald Trump.
It comes one day after the House for the first time approved a war powers resolution aimed at halting the U.S. military action against Iran.
Supporters were able to force action on the Ukraine bill by gathering 218 signatures on a discharge petition, a legislative tool that allows a majority of the House to effectively bypass leadership.
Once rarely successful, House members have used the petition tool this Congress to pass bills on releasing the government’s files on Jeffrey Epstein and to extend health care subsidies to many of those who get health coverage through the Affordable Care Act, though the latter measure faltered in the Senate.

Outgoing Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, in a heartfelt X post Thursday, revealed her husband Abraham Williams is recovering at home after undergoing nearly seven hours of surgery for what she described as a “very rare sacral chordoma.”
“My husband Abraham was diagnosed with a very rare sacral chordoma,” Gabbard wrote Thursday on X. “The surgery to remove bone and surrounding tissue lasted almost seven hours and was successful.
“He had a rough night and is in a lot of pain but is finally home resting. Now recovery begins.
Gabbard announced her pending resignation as DNI to support her husband through his battle with “an extremely rare form of bone cancer,” as first reported by Fox News Digital last month.

Secret Signal chats reveal how anti-ICE agitators coordinated Newark riots
At 11:30 a.m. on June 3, an activation signal went out on social media calling protesters and agitators to swarm Delaney Hall, the Newark, N.J. ICE detention facility that has become one of the nation’s most contentious immigration battlegrounds.
“CURFEW IS OVER. BACK TO DELANEY,” read an Instagram post, promoted by a fiery collection of anti-Israel, Marxist and Democratic organizations — from “Palestine Solidarity Working Group” and Al-Awda to Indivisible and 50501 — that have joined tumultuous against the ICE, Newark police and New Jersey state troopers over the past couple of weeks.
Within minutes, the call to action spread through secret groups on Signal, an encrypted messaging platform, activating hundreds of anti-ICE activists with secret monikers like “framed.unrest” and “Wicked Something,” collaborating on transportation, logistics and supplies, like goggles, protections against pepper spray, respirators and protective knee pads.
A Fox News Digital investigation, gathering information on the ground in Newark, in secret chat groups on Signal and from scores of tax filings, strategy documents and social media posts, reveals the protests outside Delaney Hall are no organic outpouring of spontaneous rage.
They are the result of years of strategic planning by a network of well-funded, well-organized groups that have once again exploited a local controversy to wage a wider attack on federal immigration policies and the U.S. in general.
The activities of this network have motivated a group of tech sleuths on the X — @DataRepublican, @Astrarce, @bitchuneedsoap and @gunshymartyr — to penetrate these groups, their Signal chats and their operations like a digital Avengers squad.
According to Fox News Digital’s analysis, the network behind the Delaney Hall protests includes about 100 groups, some of them big names like the ACLU, Indivisible and Democratic Socialists of America.
Together, these organizations report collective annual revenues of about $825 million, approximately equal to the annual budget of Newark. The groups didn’t respond to requests for comment.
About 70 of the groups have received special designations as charities by the IRS, have status as regular 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) nonprofits, as well as labor union 501(c)(5) and 501(c)(6) nonprofits, enjoying tax-deductible donations and certain tax-free benefits.
In recent months, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and lawmakers on the House Ways and Means Committee, the House Judiciary Committee and the House Oversight Committee have launched investigations into the alleged abuse of nonprofit laws to instigate conflict, sow discord and even inspire political violence.
The Delaneny network — which one expert calls the “Delaney Hall 100” — message around shared language assembled in a strategic communications document, called the “Delaney Hall Creator Brief,” which Fox News Digital obtained from X user @b—-uneedsoap.
The strategy document directs content creators to call the detention center a “concentration camp” and label detainees “imprisoned prisoners” and “captives.”
It tells activists to eschew saying detainees were arrested, but rather assert they were “kidnapped/abducted/taken.”
Their tactics mirror the system deployed in Minneapolis earlier this year to protest ICE actions, and military experts say the operations resemble the tactics of an insurgency.
“We should be very concerned about the Delaney Hall 100,” said Chuck Flint, a nonprofit expert and former U.S. Senate chief of staff. “Protests like the kind we’re seeing outside Delaney Hall are not organic protests. These are manufactured strategic, calculated endeavors by an army of nonprofits meant to push subversive activity. These groups generate annual revenues greater than many of the cities in which they protest. They act like military battalions with the ability to overwhelm a city’s public safety resources.”
“It’s David vs. Goliath,” said Flint, who is also a former state prosecutor.
Last weekend, Fox News Digital spotlighted a series of far-left groups that self-identify as socialist, Marxist and communist blending in with immigrant groups. They included Democratic Socialists of America, the U.S. Revolutionary Communist Party, Speak Out Socialist, Refuse Fascism, Freedom Road Socialists Organization, Freedom Socialist Party and the Black Panthers.
Fox News Digital observed tents stocked with respirators, goggles, protective pads, decontamination supplies and other protest-support equipment.
Late last Saturday, controversial Marxist influencer Hasan Piker arrived at the protests for a quick walk-through, wearing a pink gas mask.
He told Fox News Digital that he was there to advocate for the demands of the detainees inside, remaining on the scene for less than 30 minutes before driving off.
Later, he responded to Fox News Digital’s images of the tents filled with riot-gear provisions and called the supplies “mutual aid.”…
Throughout the spring and summer of 2025, the coalition expanded. Members of “NJ Peace Action,” “Pax Christi New Jersey,” “Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace,” “First Friends of New Jersey and New York” and other faith and activist organizations began participating in regular vigils and support activities.
The first major direct-action protest occurred on May 14, 2025, when clergy associated with Faith in New Jersey and several Unitarian Universalist congregations blocked the facility’s main entrance.
By the fall of 2025, multiple organizations had established an ongoing presence around the detention center.

Rep. Michael Lawler, R-N.Y., chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Middle East Subcommittee, expressed his concerns about Hamawy serving in Congress and later confirmed to Fox News Digital that he will indeed seek a probe of the controversial progressive.
Hamawy won a 12-way Democratic primary Tuesday for a Central Jersey seat that has not elected a Republican this century — and now faces perennial candidate Prof. Gregg Mele in November.
Lawler told Fox News Digital that Hamawy’s resume is more than disqualifying for someone whose day job would give him access to the nation’s most sensitive national security information.
“Adam Hamawy was a defense witness for Omar Abdel-Rahman, the Blind Sheikh behind the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, and a year earlier volunteered in Bosnia with an organization the U.S. Treasury designated a financier of terrorism and the 9/11 Commission tied to Osama bin Laden’s network,” Lawler said.
“He has never answered for any of it.”
