‘HUNT YOU DOWN’: Crackdown on Illegal Voters Continues Up to Election Day

Homeland Security Investigations made Election Day announcements of two more arrests of noncitizens for allegedly casting illegal votes in previous years.
This follows dozens of arrests, mostly this year, for voting offenses by noncitizens.
“If you vote illegally in this country, and you are NOT eligible to vote, @DHSgov will find you, hunt you down, and you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Only American citizens should be deciding American elections,” Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin posted on X Tuesday.
Homeland Security Investigations announced that it had arrested a Finnish national in Philadelphia for allegedly registering to vote and voting in the 2024 general election.
Also, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Homeland Security Investigations arrested a Philippine national for allegedly registering to vote and voting in the 2022 election.
The Justice Department late Monday announced election-related charges involving 63 people nationwide, including at least 19 defendants whose cases had already been publicly announced last month.
Since the beginning of the second Trump administration in January 2025, the Justice Department has charged 239 people with voting fraud-related offenses. The department said 195 aliens were charged in the past nine weeks.
“These foreign nationals allegedly took advantage of the trust of the American people and flouted the laws that govern our nation’s elections,” Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a statement. “This Department of Justice will continue investigating and prosecuting voter fraud to restore confidence in our electoral system.” …
Illegal alien ordered released from ICE custody now charged in Mounds View rape

An illegal alien from Honduras, ordered to be deported, has been charged with raping a Mounds View woman while working as a handyman.
Marcotulio Melendez Diaz, 42, was ordered released from ICE custody by a Clinton-appointed judge earlier this year after he had been arrested during Operation Metro Surge.
He’s now charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct.
First reported Monday by Fox News’ Bill Melugin, Immigration and Customs Enforcement acknowledged the report, saying in part, “This is what happens when activist judges side with criminal illegal aliens over Americans … ICE had him in custody, a federal judge ordered him released, and now an American woman has suffered a horrific crime that could have been PREVENTED.”
Melugin reported that ICE sources told Fox News that Melendez Diaz was initially caught and released at the Texas border by the Biden administration in April 2024.
ICE arrested him in Minnesota in January 2026 during Operation Metro Surge and transferred him to ICE detention in Texas, Fox reported.
An immigration judge issued a deportation order for Melendez Diaz on March 30, 2026, which he appealed.
“But on [Aug. 7, 2026], a federal judge in the Western District of Texas, Judge Orlando L. Garcia (Clinton appointee) ordered Melendez Diaz released from ICE custody and granted his habeas petition on grounds of ‘due process,’ and Melendez Diaz made his way back to Minnesota,” Melugin wrote.
He then noted that the Board of Immigration Appeals rejected Melendez Diaz’s appeal on Oct. 9, 2026, and issued him a final deportation order. Just days later, police say he raped the Mounds View woman in her home.

Trump’s Next Move After the Midterms | Victor Davis Hanson Daily Brief
In this Election Day edition of The Daily Brief, historian Victor Davis Hanson examines the stakes of the 2026 midterm elections, the battle for control of Congress, and why he believes President Trump could continue pursuing major parts of his agenda even if Republicans lose seats in the House or Senate.
Drawing on historical comparisons with Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden, Hanson explores what happens when presidents lose congressional majorities, why election polling can produce surprises, and whether another impeachment battle could be on the horizon.
Hanson also addresses the debate over Trump fatigue, the media’s coverage of inflation and economic growth, and the political challenges facing both parties as Americans head to the polls.
Beyond Washington, Hanson examines growing tensions between Europe and the United States, disagreements over NATO and American military support, ideological divisions between socialist and Islamist political movements, and his concerns about rising antisemitism in American politics.

Michigan student arrested after shoving Jewish conservative activist, threatening to kill her
A University of Michigan student was arrested on Nov. 1 after shoving Jewish conservative activist Lizzy Benichou to the ground during a political discussion in Ann Arbor.
Conservative commentator Cam Higby posted video on X showing the confrontation, which ended with police taking the student into custody as she shouted threats toward Benichou.
The incident occurred near a conservative group’s discussion table displaying questions about Islam and its compatibility with Western values.
Before the physical confrontation, the student challenged the activists’ presence and accused them of expressing anti-Muslim views, The Jerusalem Post reported.
The exchange escalated when Benichou questioned whether Iranian authorities would permit the student to wear similar clothing in public.
Footage shows the student pushing Benichou onto the pavement before another individual intervened. The student subsequently attempted to approach Benichou again, prompting police to restrain her.
As officers escorted the student away, she shouted that she should have “killed” Benichou when she had the opportunity.

Florida: Broward County Voters Hit by System Lockouts and Technical Failures Minutes After Polls Open on Election Day

Issues have been reported at Sunset Lakes Community Center in Miramar, Coconut Palm Elementary School, and South Plantation High School, among others.
At Sunset Lakes, voters had lined up as early as 6:15 a.m., only to be told after the doors opened that poll workers were experiencing technical difficulties and could not access the system.
One voter told the Local 10 News that workers announced they had electronic problems and technicians were working to fix them.
“They have problems, electronic problems, and they can’t log into the system,” the voter told the station.
WSVN 7News described the problem as a systemwide issue that affected Broward polling sites for between 10 and 15 minutes after opening.
Election officials later said the technical issues were resolved and sites were running smoothly, though operations remained under observation. …
