Today is the anniversary of D-Day. This 1944 monumental operation stands as the largest land, sea, and air invasion ever attempted — remarkably, seventy-nine-years later and it’s still significant today.
The Allied forces embarked on a mission to turn the tide of World War II by launching a massive assault on Nazi-held Europe. The soldiers who courageously landed on the beaches of Normandy encountered tremendous challenges, but showed unwavering determination even in the face of disaster.
What’s truly fascinating about D-Day is how U.S. General Patton played a cunning “decoy role.” Patton was stationed in England in an effort to fool the Nazis into thinking the attack would happen north of Normandy.
But Patton did more than just sit around as a “decoy.” Patton delivered a series of speeches known as “Patton’s Speech to the Third Army” in 1944, addressing the soldiers of the United States Third Army.
These speeches were given before the Allied invasion of France and aimed to inspire and uplift the relatively inexperienced Third Army troops in preparation for their upcoming combat duties.
The Air Force Is Using Taxpayer Money To Fly Service Members To Branch ‘Pride’ Events
On June 1, Marianne Malizia, the director of the Air Force’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion, issued a memo notifying branch commanders of several upcoming LGBT-related events in Washington, D.C., hosted by the Department of the Air Force (DAF). According to the memo, Air and Space Force commanders will be permitted to utilize “unit funds” to pay for service members under their command to “travel to, and participate in, this year’s DAF Pride events if approved by their individual supervisory authority.”
A rainbow-colored flyer accompanying the memo lists the three upcoming events the DAF is slated to participate in, including a “Pride at the Pentagon” celebration scheduled to be held at the Pentagon Air Force Art Gallery on June 8 and an “LGBTQ+ Initiatives Team (LIT) Symposium” to be held at the Pentagon Library & Conference Center on June 9. The Air Force will also have a recruiting booth at the D.C. Pride Festival on June 11.

Federal judge blocks Florida banning child sex changes, declares ‘gender identity is real’
The block is temporary, but it stops the state from preventing doctors from giving minors puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones in service to gender transition.
Puberty blockers are used to halt the natural development of children into adults and can cause lifelong, irreversible changes, such as stunted growth
.Judge Robert Hinkle made the decision, issuing a temporary injunction so that three children who are already in the process of undergoing sex changes may be permitted to continue.
Parents of the children brought suit against the state, wanting to continue the supposed transitioning of their children to appear as the opposite sex. Hinkle asserted that gender identity is not a choice and said that those who believe it is “tend to disapprove all things transgender and so oppose medical care that supports a person’s transgender existence.”
He claimed the children were at risk if they were not allowed to continue treatment. That risk is commonly believed to be the suicide of the child who isn’t permitted to undergo a sex change.

Atkins walked up to a public sidewalk just across the street from City Hall, holding a slogan that says “Jesus said go and sin no more.”
Police Sergeant Bradley T. McClure approached Atkins to intervene and prevent him from reciting the Bible verse, emphasizing respect for the LGBTQ+ community’s pride rally. Atkins responded by asserting his right to freely express himself, citing the fact that they were in a public space.
Atkins continued and chose to read from 1 Corinthians 14:33, which states, “For God is not a God of disorder but of peace.” However, before he could finish reading the verse, McClure rushed toward Atkins and placed him under arrest.
It took less than sixty seconds for Atkins to be placed in handcuffs, according to The Lancaster Patriot.
New York City Vending Machine Offers Free Narcan and Crack Pipes to Residents
Public health officials unveiled the machine on Monday in Brooklyn at 1676 Broadway, ABC7 New York reported. Less than 24 hours after its installation the machine was empty, according to the New York Post.
The machine cost the city $11,000 to install, and it also offers residents free COVID-19 testing, feminine sanitation products, hygiene kits, Vitamin C, and first aid kits. Residents must simply enter their zip code to gain access.
The vending machine is part of the city’s effort to reduce overdose deaths by 15% by 2025, according to a health department press release.

Environmental compliance specialist and avid hiker Melody Sasser, 47, was arrested May 18 for the depraved plot to allegedly murder her romantic rival.

VA blasted for replacing American flag with pride flag at veteran cemetery, state GOP demands its removal
American flags flying over the Biloxi National Cemetery and VA Medical Center were replaced with rainbow LGBTQ flags after Secretary of Veterans Affairs Denis McDonough authorized the flying of such flags above VA facilities.
The decision was dubbed a “political stunt” by Republicans in the state Senate who are calling for its removal out of respect for “service members, veterans and their families.”
“We believe this decisions shows deep disrespect to our service members, veterans and their families, and demand that you take immediate action to restore the United States flag to its rightful place at Veterans Affairs facilities across the state of Mississippi,” five Mississippi Republicans wrote in a letter to McDonough Monday.

The neighbor, who has not been publicly identified, has not been arrested or charged with a crime, claiming that the shooting was in self-defense under Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law, authorities said.

U.S. Levies Sanctions On Iranian, Chinese Companies Over Ballistic Missile Programs
The United States has sanctioned seven individuals and six entities from Iran, China, and Hong Kong who the U.S. Treasury Department says have helped Tehran get key technology for ballistic missile development.
In a statement on June 6, the department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), accused the individuals and entities of conducting financial transactions facilitating the network to procure parts needed for missile development.
The statement said the six companies sold sensitive centrifuges, metals, and radar materials to key actors in the previously sanctioned Iranian Defense Ministry and Armed Forces Logistics (MODAFL) agency.
‘Russian Terrorists’: Civilians Evacuated as Major Ukraine Dam Blown Up
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky decried “Russian terrorists” early Tuesday morning as she published drone footage of the aftermath of a blast at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power dam on the Russian-occupied Dnipro river.
Ukraine claimed the sudden unleashing of the reservoir downstream, which necessitated the evacuation of villages as the water spread, was intended to slow the progress of their army crossing the Dnipro River, reports The Times.
Russia, for their part, accused Ukrainian forces of attacking the dam overnight with a rocket barrage in order to deprive Russian-occupied parts of Ukraine of drinking water.
A Kremlin spokesman said the blast will have “grave consequences” for both local people and the local environment, and the country claims it has set up a criminal enquiry into the destruction of the dam.
Both sides agree dozens of settlements are at risk from flooding, and according to the Russian account at some villages the water level is already up ten meters. It will reportedly take three days for the water that was held behind the dam to flow out.
Poisonous Cider Death Toll In Russia Rises To 30
Russian authorities said on June 6 the number of people killed by tainted cider in the regions of Ulyanovsk, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, and Udmurtia had risen to 30.
Poisonings with surrogate alcohol are common in Russia as people look to save money on cheaper drinks.
In 2021, 34 people were killed by surrogate alcohol in the Urals region of Orenburg.

Specifically, the bill, titled the “Military Merit, Fairness, and Equality Act of 2023,” would ban the Department of Defense (DOD) from forcing troops, their family members, and civilian employees to “personally affirm, adopt, adhere to the tenet that any sex, race, ethnicity, religion or national origin is inherently superior or inferior.”
“The tenets of critical race theory are antithetical to the merit-based, all-volunteer, military that has served the country with great distinction for the last 50 years,” the bill states. “All Department of Defense personnel actions, including accessions, promotions, assignments and training, shall be based exclusively on individual merit and demonstrated performance.”
The bill is aimed at undoing the Biden administration’s continuing efforts to embed the critical race theory tenets of “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI) throughout the DOD.
“The toxic, so-called ‘equity’ agenda at the Department of Defense damages readiness and falsely suggests that our military has a problem with diversity,” Wicker said in a statement obtained by Breitbart News. He added:
