Elon fires Twitter’s general counsel James Baker

‘In light of concerns about Bakerโ€™s possible role in suppression of information important to the public dialogue, he was exited from Twitter today,’ Musk wrote in a tweet on Tuesday.

Musk added that Baker’s explanation of the events surrounding the laptop saga were ‘unconvincing.’

Also on Tuesday, Rep. James Comer, a Kentucky Republican, sent Baker a letter requesting his appearance before the House Oversight Committee next year, when the GOP is set to take control of the House.ย

Before joining Twitter, Baker was formerย FBIย general counsel under Director James Comey, and played a key role in the saga surrounding the Bureau’s controversial probe into possible collusion between Russia andย Donald Trump‘s 2016 campaign.ย

Citizen Journalist Arrested and Prosecuted for His Reporting

This was not the first time that Justin had problems with the Fort Bend County Sheriffโ€™s Office. In July 2021, Justin was excluded from a press conference at Sheriff Eric Faganโ€™s explicit direction.

The First Amendment prohibits government officials from unreasonably restricting an individualโ€™s right to record the police, and it doesnโ€™t let them decide who is or isnโ€™t a journalist.

Today, Justin filed a federal lawsuit against the Sheriff and his deputies with the Institute for Justice (IJ), a non-profit public interest law firm that defends free speech nationwide.

โ€œArresting and prosecuting Justin is a violation of his First Amendment rights, and it canโ€™t stand,โ€ said IJ Attorney Tori Clark. โ€œThe Sheriff may not like Justinโ€™s style, but the government doesnโ€™t have the power to single out journalists because they donโ€™t like their viewpoint.โ€

Virginia Beach Police Officer Shoots Suspect Who Pointed Gun at Him

Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) officer received an Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) hit on a stolen vehicle.

The officer initiated a stop in the parking lot of 665 Newtown Road. The officer attempted to detain 28-year-old Deshawn Whitaker who subsequently escaped his grip and fled on foot.

The officer then attempted to detain the front seat passenger, a female later identified as Jacqueline Ortiz, F/20, of Norfolk, who had exited the stolen car and was walking away.

The officer attempted to take Ortiz into custody, but she immediately resisted and a struggle ensued. During the struggle, Ortiz repeatedly reached for a handgun she had concealed on her person.

Far-left goal in Colorado SCOTUS case is FORCED COMPLIANCE

The U.S. Supreme Court is preparing to hear arguments in a new First Amendment case involving a Christian graphic artist who does not want to be forced to design wedding websites for same-sex couples.

This case โ€” coming from Colorado โ€” marks the second time in five years that SCOTUS will grapple with religious business owners vs. gay weddings.

But the far-leftโ€™s goal in this case seems to be much more sinister than hoping the two sides can conduct business peacefully. Rather, Glenn predicts, this case is about forced compliance:

โ€˜Itโ€™s about forcing everyone to do exactly what they say, when they say it, and [to] have you profess a belief that you donโ€™t have.โ€™

PayPal Is Waging War Against This Veteran-Owned Conservative Business (Again)

It appears PayPal is yet again targeting Proof Products USA, a veteran-owned conservative e-commerce company.

According to the companyโ€™s owner, Dana Peters, the mega financial technology corporation is withholding funds from Proof Products USAโ€™s subsidiary metal fabric shop, โ€œMilspin,โ€ until the online store removes several listings of brass knuckles.

In a press release, Proof Products USA stated that it โ€œwill not comply.โ€

This isnโ€™t the first time PayPal has allegedly withheld funds from Proof Products USA. In 2021, Peters said that PayPal kept $90,000 from โ€œFake Masks Worldwide,โ€ a different subsidiary online store of Proof Products USA, for selling โ€œbreathable masks.โ€

Video: McConnell, McCarthy snubbed in handshake line at ceremony for Jan. 6 police

Police officers who responded to the Jan. 6 Capitol attack and some of their family members pointedly declined to shake the hands of Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy as they accepted Congressional Gold Medals on Tuesday.

Officers shook hands with Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer as they accepted the medals, but quickly moved past the House and Senate Republican leaders โ€” despite McConnell outstretching his hand.

All senior congressional leaders were participating in the event to honor U.S. Capitol Police officers, Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police and others who responded during the riot.

โ€˜Obsolete, Misguidedโ€™: Critics Call Out Pfizerโ€™s Plan for Bivalent Booster for Kids Under 5

Nass told The Defender:

โ€œThere was never anything to recommend the bivalent boosters before they were given an EUA for adults on August 31.

โ€œIt is unconscionable, given what we know about the poor performance of the existing vaccines and their very concerning side effects, that FDA [U.S. Food and Drug Administration] and CDC went along with the new โ€˜boostersโ€™ without a single human trial โ€” and now the manufacturers want to give these untested vaccines to children as young as 6 months of age.โ€

Without human trials for the โ€œboosters,โ€ saidย Nass, an internist with special interests in vaccine-induced illnesses, it was โ€œguaranteed that no one would know what their safety issues were โ€” making the whole process ofย informed consent, which is legally needed for unlicensed vaccines โ€” a charade.โ€

Perro, a pediatrician, pointed out that by continuing to administer the original COVID-19 vaccines to children, children are receiving a vaccine โ€œfor a virus that is no longer in circulation.โ€

Perro told The Defender, โ€œThere are key factors to take into consideration as to why the FDA authorization for the Omicron โ€˜retooledโ€™ vaccine would be not only misguided, but malignant for children.โ€

She added:

The exesโ€™ children broke the news of Alleyโ€™s death in aย lengthy social media statementย on Monday.

โ€œWe are sad to inform you that our incredible, fierce and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered,โ€ William and Lillie wrote. โ€œShe was surrounded by her closest friends and family and fought with great strength.

โ€œAs iconic as she was on screen, she was an even more amazing mother and grandmother,โ€ the siblings continued.

Many celebrities have posted tributes to the โ€œMasked Singerโ€ alum, including her โ€œLook Whoโ€™s Talkingโ€ co-star John Travolta.

โ€œKirstie was one of the most special relationships Iโ€™ve ever had,โ€ the actor and fellow Scientologist, 68, gushed. โ€œI love you Kirstie.โ€

An affidavitย obtained by the station ClickOrlandoย stated that Lawson and Walsh had taken a break from playing the popular shooting game โ€œCall of Dutyโ€ and were chatting when Lawson grabbed a Glock 34 9mm semi-automatic pistol.

Lawson said he believed that the gun was unloaded when he โ€œjokinglyโ€ first pointed it at Walsh and pulled the trigger. The weapon did not fire.

Lawson then manipulated the gun by pulling the slide back and pulled the trigger again, claiming he also was joking, according to the sheriffโ€™s office

This time, the Glock fired a single shot that struck Walsh in the head, killing him.

Lawson called 911 shortly before 1 a.m., telling a dispatcher that he had just shot his best friend.

Biden Spikes Foreign-Born Voting Population by Over 900K in 2022

Federal dataย analyzedย by Pew Research Center finds that the U.S. will likely see about 940,000 legal immigrants secure naturalized American citizenship by the end of the year in part due to the Biden administrationโ€™s push to massively boost naturalizations.

The massive uptick indicates that the foreign-born voting population in the U.S. now stands at about 24.5 million โ€” the largest in American history โ€” orย about 10 percentย of the total eligible voting population. Compare that to less than three decades ago when the naturalized American citizen population was just 7.6 million.

The 2022 numbers come as Biden has consistently spiked naturalizations as president.

Almost immediately after taking office, Biden signed an executive order to specifically increase naturalization rates through a series of federal agency measures by eliminating โ€œbarriers in and otherwise improve the existing naturalization process โ€ฆ [and] substantially reduce current naturalization processing timesโ€ฆโ€

The annual number of naturalizations is significant because it represents permanent changes to the American electorate.

Mitt Romney, Susan Collins Dismiss the Idea of Impeachingย DHS Chief Mayorkas

โ€œSomeone has to commit a high crime or misdemeanor for that to be a valid inquiry,โ€ Romney told Politico about impeachment standards. โ€œI havenโ€™t seen any accusation of that nature whatsoever.โ€

โ€œThere are a lot of things I disagree with โ€ฆ but that doesnโ€™t rise to impeachment,โ€ he said about Mayorkas.

Collins, a pro-Donald Trump impeachment vote and McConnell ally, brushed off the question of whether Mayorkas should be impeached.โ€œThatโ€™s not something Iโ€™ve heard discussed over here,โ€ Collins replied.

Sen. John Thune (R-SD), the second highest ranking GOP senator, said an investigation of Mayorkasโ€™s open border should ensue before rushing to impeachment.

โ€œI think there is a legitimate need for oversight โ€ฆ but, I mean, I think it needs to be focused on some specific areas,โ€ Thune said.

If impeachment proceedings were launched against Mayorkas, they would be first initiated in the House and then conveyed to the Senate. It is unlikely Republicans have enough votes in the Senate to follow through on impeaching Mayorkas, even if the House successfully voted to impeach.

Group of 10 GOP Patriots Push Back on McConnell, Democrat Push to Include JCPA in NDAA

Joe Raedle/Getty Images
Joe Raedle/Getty Images

GOP senate leader Mitch McConnell is the primary antagonist, using two routes to help the Democrats ram through the bailout for their cronies in the media, something even their own supporters on the left oppose.

One route is to attach the bill to the NDAA, a vital defense spending bill seen as a โ€œmust-pass,โ€ which is rapidly evolving into a Christmas tree with all sorts of Democrat hobby horses, wholly unrelated to defense, attached to it.

McConnell and the Democrats are also attempting a process known as a โ€œhotwire,โ€ which would pass the JCPA without any debate if no Senator objects to it.

But they have a problem โ€” the number of Senators opposing it has only grown since the push began, with sources on the hill telling Breitbart News that the number of opposing Senators is now up to ten.

Mongolian protesters try to storm State Palace, alleging corrupt officials sold coal to China

Protesters in Mongoliaย tried to force their way into the State Palace over the weekend in response to allegations of corruption with officials involved in the countryโ€™s coal trade.

The demonstrators chanted and sang while stamping their feet to stay warm. They were demanding that the government hold officials accountable for the alleged theft of 385,000 tons of coal from stockpiles on Mongoliaโ€™s border with China.

The allegations center on coal from the Tavan Tolgoi region in the south Gobi Desert that is being mined by state-owned Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi (ETT) and two other companies.

Local media reports said ETT, which is listed on Mongoliaโ€™s stock exchange, has been placed under state supervision as the governmentโ€™s Independent Authority Against Corruption investigates.

Putting Honchevskaya and her husband Stanislav in separate rooms, the Russians questioned them and then took them to a detention centre.

Detainees had to recite the Russian anthem and pledge allegiance to President Vladimir Putin and his defence minister, Sergei Shoigu.

โ€œGlory to Russia, glory to Putin, glory to Shoigu,โ€ they were forced to say.

During one interrogation, the Russians poured water down Honchevskayaโ€™s throat and zapped her with a stun gun, while telling her she was beautiful, she said.

Sinceย Khersonย was liberated three weeks ago, nine such detention centres have been discovered. More than 400 bodies have been recovered.

Ukraineโ€™s prosecution office has opened a war crimes investigation following witness reports that Russian authorities used the centres to torture locals into cooperating with the occupation forces.

Like her husband, Honchevskaya was a police officer in Kherson when Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24. Unable to evacuate, they were trapped in the city when Russian forces arrived.
