In The News Today:
First federal gender-based hate crime trial begins in SC over killing of trans woman by black man after sexual relationship

According to NBC News, federal hate crime laws were amended in 2009 to include offenses motivated by victims’ sexual orientation and gender identity, and in 2017, a Mississippi gang member was convicted of killing a 17-year-old transgender woman.
While this marked the first time the new laws had been utilized, he pleaded guilty before his case could go to trial.
Ritter, 26, allegedly murdered Doe in a rural area of South Carolina on August 4, 2019 after his girlfriend and friends became aware of a sexual relationship between the two. Upon learning of his secret, Ritter’s girlfriend called him a homophobic slur, which made him “extremely upset.” Doe and Ritter were said to have been close friends, related via his aunt and Doe’s uncle.
Prosecutors have alleged that Ritter coerced Doe to go for a drive, at the end of which he pulled out a gun and shot Doe three times in the head. They argued that he was “motivated by his anger at being mocked for having a sexual relationship with a transgender woman.”
Trans killer sentenced to 22 years for slaying of Portland cab driver

Moses J. Lopez, 30, showed no remorse during the hearing and refused to apologize to the victim’s family. Lopez was convicted of one count of first-degree manslaughter and one count of unlawful use of a weapon.
Lopez was given a plea deal by Multnomah County Judge Heidi Moawad, which included a guilty plea in exchange for a separate case being dismissed.
That case included Lopez allegedly threatening two employees at a Coos County Bi-Mart, which occurred just days before the murder. Lopez was quickly released without bail before traveling to Portland from Coos Bay, Oregon.
During the hearing, Lopez used her transgender identity as a justification for the killing and laughed at the victim’s family in court, according to the Oregonian.
Editors’ Pick: Washington Free Beacon Exposes Major Media Publishing Chinese Propaganda

Holden dug up China Daily‘s Foreign Agents Registration Act filings, which show that between October 2020 and October 2023, the CCP mouthpiece paid outlets such as Time, the Los Angeles Times, the Boston Globe, and the Chicago Tribune a total of $8.2 million.
Time was the top media recipient of CCP largesse, at $3.55 million to put China Daily articles within Time magazine and on Time.com
Even worse, these papers actually warned about Chinese misinformation while they were publishing it! For example:
If A President Can Have His Money And Property Snatched By His Political Opposition, This Isnโt A Free Country And We Donโt Have Fair Elections

Voters in a few months are supposed to cast a ballot for their preferred presidential candidate. Meanwhile, we just watched one of our major political parties attempt to literally bankrupt the likely nominee of the other, and seize his property.
Whatever you want to say of America anymore, it canโt possibly be called free and our elections arenโt anything close to fair.
With each passing day, nearly $100,000 in interest is tacked onto the sentence and the D.A., Letitia โpeek-a-booโ James (as Trump calls her for hilarious yet unknown reasons), has gone so far as to threaten state seizure of the former presidentโs marquee real estate properties should he fail to pay the sum.
Trumpโs legal team has promised to appeal. But to do that, they would have to secure a bond thatโs even higher than amount heโs been ordered to pay.
Theyโre taking his money โ potentially all of the cash he has on hand โ revoking his right to participate in an entire stateโs economy, and threatening to snatch his private property. Thatโs just in New York. Elsewhere, Democrats are trying to keep his name off the ballot or, if that doesnโt work, put him in prison.
Trump did business in New York for decades. This isnโt a coincidence or a matter of karma catching up. James campaigned for her job promising to pursue the former president, explicitly because he became president.
Blue Laws for Red Citizens

There are eerie commonalities in all these five court cases involving plaintiff E. Jean Carroll, Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg, New York Attorney General Letitia James, federal special counsel Jack Smith, and Fulton County district attorney Fani Willis.
One, they are either unapologetically left-wing or associated with liberal causes. They filed their legal writs in big-city, left-wing AmericaโAtlanta, New York, Washingtonโwhere liberal judges and jury pools predominate in a manner not characteristic of the country at large.
Two, they are overtly political. Bragg, James, and Willis have either campaigned for office or raised campaign funds by promising to get or even destroy Donald Trump.
Carrollโs suit was funded by left-wing billionaire Reid Hoffman.
Smith sued to rush his court schedule in hopes of putting Trump on trial before the November election.
Three, there would not be any of these cases had Donald Trump not run for the presidency or not been a conservative.
Carrollโs suit bypassed statute of limitation restrictions by prompting the intervention of a left-wing New York legislator. He passed a special bill, allowing a one-year window to waive the statute of limitations for sexual assault claims from decades past…..
Report: 186 Now-Removed Arizona Voter Roll Names Were Foreign Nationals

โRoughly 65 percent of records came from โpolitical parties and group drives,’โ the report reads. โAlthough conclusions in other studies established that organizers of voter registration drives can be left leaning, the party affiliations of the registrants within the Pima disclosure are more varied.โ
A separate report released by PILF last year found that Arizona had also removed 222 Maricopa County residents who were identified as foreign nationals since 2015. Of those 222 noncitizens, nine purportedly cast โ12 ballots across 4 federal elections.โ
PILFโs analysis comes amid concerns over whether Arizonaโs voter registration processes could lead to registering foreign nationals to vote. While Arizona requires residents to show proof of citizenship to vote in state elections, a 2013 U.S. Supreme Court decision forbade the state from implementing such a requirement for federal elections. As PILF noted, individuals who cannot provide Arizona with documents to prove citizenship โmay participate only in federal electionsโ using a federal-only ballot.
Texas county launches guaranteed income program while facing up to a $181 million deficit

Harris County, Texas, has launched a guaranteed income program this month and paid for the program with $20.5 million from the American Rescue Plan Act.
However, the federal money used to fund similar programs throughout the country is running out and Harris County officials have projected a $20 million to $181 million deficit for fiscal year 2024. The large variation in the projected deficit is due to differing revenue forecasts, according to city documents.
Uplift Harris is a guaranteed income pilot that offers eligible households $500 a month for 18 months.
The first payments are set to roll out in early April, according to documents.
53 Texas counties have now declared an invasion at southern border

They did so after their previous judge signed a disaster declaration Oct. 11, 2022, uniquely stating the county was being invaded, citing the same constitutional clauses the countyโs new invasion resolution cites. Because former Judge Robert Skelton, who has since retired, declared the county was being invaded, his disaster declaration was previously counted in The Center Square’s invasion resolution count.
Shackelford County has now issued both a disaster declaration and declared an invasion, citing the border crisis.
So far, 60 counties have issued disaster declarations saying their residents are in imminent danger because of cartel activity and transnational crime, facilitating smuggling of people and illicit drugs, including fentanyl and methamphetamine, into their counties.
Skeltonโs disaster declaration appears to be the only one that states the county is under invasion. His resolution also called on the governor to โimmediately prevent and/or remove all persons invading the sovereignty of Texas and that of the United States.โ

Media Ignore Science On Dangers Of Transgenderism In Kids To Tout Garbage Pro-Trans Survey

Two reports on the โtransgenderโ population, an umbrella term for those who are psychologically uncomfortable with their sex, were published this month. One report by the American College of Pediatricians detailed the results of a review of more than 60 studies on mental health in adolescents with gender dysphoria and concluded that wrongly termed โgender-affirmingโ care had โno demonstrable, long-term benefitโ on patientsโ psychosocial well-being.
On the other hand, U.S. Trans Survey reported the results of an open-access internet survey administered by a coalition of several trans-activist groups to tens of thousands of men, women, and adolescents who identify as โtrans,โ which reported sky-high satisfaction rates in those who had โtransitioned.โ
You can probably guess which report the media have touted as proof that the science is settled. They say transitioning is an overwhelmingly good idea! And bias, if not hate, likely motivates anyone who counsels caution and patience, even for children.

Venezuela Blocks Flights Carrying Deported Migrants From US, Mexico

Venezuela has blocked flights of migrants deported from the United States and Mexico, undermining one of the few policies the Biden administration had recently embraced to deal with record levels of illegal immigration, according to the Wall Street Journal, citing people familiar with the measures.
In short, the move gets in the way of the Biden administration pretending they’ve been taking action, and now gives them something to blame.
One person familiar with the measures noted that there are no direct commercial flights between the two countries, while Mexican authorities refuse to deport Venezuelans on commercial flights.
According to Tom Cartright, who tracks deportation flight data for US immigration advocacy group Witness at the Border, if there are no government-run deportation flights back to Venezuela, “it stands out that thereโs no ability to deport Venezuelans back to Venezuela.”

Japan-based US Navy sailor charged with espionage

Chief Petty Officer Fire Controlman Bryce Pedicini, who was assigned to the USS Higgins destroyer, had a general court-martial scheduled Wednesday, Navy officials said, per USNI News.
A sailor “is suspected of mishandling classified documents and information. The incident remains under investigation and legal proceedings continue,” a U.S. Naval Surface Force spokesperson said.
Pedicini is accused of giving classified national defense information to an employee of an unspecified foreign government from November 2022 through February 2023 while on active duty in Virginia, according to a charge sheet. These charges date to shortly after he was promoted to the position of chief in August 2022.

Turmoil at CBS โ Catherine Herridgeโs Firing Escalates as Network Seizes Files and Exposes Confidential Sources: Report

CBS reportedly seized files from Catherine Herridge, the networkโs recently laid-off senior investigative correspondent. This action included materials that may reveal information about confidential sources, according to an article by Jonathan Turley, Shapiro Chair of Public Interest Law at George Washington University, in The Hill.
Catherine Herridge, an Emmy-winning and nominated reporter known for her work on national security and intelligence, was among the 800 employees Paramount Global laid off in a bid to streamline operations amid financial strain. Her firing has since escalated into a broader controversy.
In his article titled โCBS faces uproar after seizing investigative journalistโs files,โ Turley sheds light on the concerns that have emerged within the journalistic community at CBS.
Passenger stabs fellow traveler with weapon of pens and rubber bands on Seattle-to-Vegas flight

Lopez had been acting โfidgety,โ a person sitting next to him told investigators, before he went to the bathroom late in the flight and returned to launch an attack on the man seated across the aisle, according to a complaint by FBI Special Agent Anthony Needler.
There was โblood everywhere,โ according to Lopezโs seat neighbor.
Lopez eventually stopped the stabbing, dropped the homemade weapon, moved toward the front of the plane, yelled, โIโll only talk to the FBI,โ and took an empty seat, according to the complaint.
SHOCK VIDEO: Laura Loomer Exposes Massive Human Trafficking Operation in Panama on Camera โ Bus Transporting African Illegals in the Middle of the Night North to America

Investigative reporter and conservative activist Laura Loomer has exposed a massive human trafficking operation in Panama, which is transporting illegals from Africa in the middle of the night to their next stop on their trek to their eventual destination in the U.S.
Loomer has been in Panama to report on Dariรฉn Gap, one of the worldโs most dangerous migration routes. As she notes, this remote, roadless crossing on the borders between Colombia and Panama consists of over 60 miles of deep jungle terrain, mountains, and even some swamps.
Risking her own safety, she jumped on the bus and started filming.
$30 billion in taxpayer funds spent on jobless migrants in UK while over 1.1 million foreigners are on government assistance

Anew report has shown that the government of the United Kingdom has spent tens of billions on unemployed migrants in just three years, with over a million foreign-born residents receiving financial support from the government.
The report stated that taxpayers have spent over $30 billion since 2020 on jobless illegal immigrants, often referred to as asylum-seekers, with even more being spent on international students.
The foreign students who are considered “economically inactive” would add another $15 billion to the total, Breitbart reported.
According to the U.K.’s Office for National Statistics, around 724,000 migrants in the region between the ages of 16 and 64 were categorized as “people not in employment who have not been seeking work within the last 4 weeks and/or are unable to start work within the next 2 weeks.”
Former prosecutor dumps cold water on Dem narrative that FBI informant’s arrest clears Biden family of corruption allegations

But Democrats aren’t being honest, according to McCarthy, who explained on Wednesday an obvious fact: Smirnov’s allegations were not the “lynchpin” of the corruption allegations.
“[Investigators] had immense evidence that there was corrupt activity involved in that before hearing that there was an FBI informant who said that there was $10 million in bribes, and Smirnov information about that is not connected to what the House Republicans already had about Burisma,” McCarthy said on Fox News.
“I think the Democrats are trying to spread the idea that he’s the key to the case because now that his testimony is obviously been knocked down by the false statements charges โ that makes it looks like the case collapses,” he continued. “But It doesnโt for example disappear the $24 million that went into the Bidenโs coffers from agents of corrupt and anti-American governments.”
Border Patrol has arrested 6,400 illegal immigrants with criminal convictions, 178 gang members in FY24

U.S. Border Patrol Chief Jason Owens posted on X Wednesday that agents patrolling the southwest border nabbed 10 illegal immigrants last weekend who have “violent criminal histories including murder, rape, and drug/weapons trafficking.”
Owens also posted images of four of the convicts. It is unclear where they are from.
On Wednesday, Owens posted pictures of various gang members arrested over the weekend who he says are admitted gang members.
Owens wrote that agents in El Paso, Texas, arrested eight admitted violent cartels and gang members from Venezuela, El Salvador and Mexico.
“So far in FY24, Border Patrol has arrested 178 subjects with gang affiliations,” he said.
Illegal Alien Accused of Causing Sgt. Michael Kunovichโs Death Files Civil Rights Lawsuit Claiming Limited English Skills Make Him Disabled

As Breitbart News reported, 19-year-old illegal alien Virgilio Aguilar-Mendez of Guatemala was arrested in May 2023 and has been charged with resisting an officer with violence and manslaughter in connection with Kunovichโs death.
This week, Aguilar-Mendezโs defense attorneys filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against Kunovichโs estate, Lt. Jose Jimenez, who also responded to the incident, and St. Johns County, claiming that their client is disabled because he does not speak English or Spanish and was thus denied his rights under the โAmericans with Disabilities Actโ and the โRehabilitation Act.โ
Aguilar-Mendezโs attorneys have said he is a victim of racism and police brutality at the hands of Kunovich.
โMr. Virgilio was a victim of police brutality. He was a victim of racial profiling,โ his attorney said. โHe was a victim of violation of his fourth, fifth, and sixth amendment constitutional rights. Those who are responsible for this abuse will be held accountable.โ
Aguilar-Mendez is an illegal alien from Guatemala. He arrived at the United States-Mexico border in 2023 and was subsequently released into the United States. According to his attorney, Aguilar-Mendez had been working on a farm and sending money back to Guatemala.
Organized Migrant โTheft Groupsโ Plague Pennsylvania Town

Police officials have identified at least three gangs of migrants responsible for the theft of thousands of dollars of merchandise since January, according to WPVI-TV.
โTheyโre taking advantage of coming to the U.S. and committing these crimes and being able to disappear to some degree,โ West Whiteland Township Police Department Detective Scott Pezick told the station.
โOver the last month, weโve had what we call South American theft groups,โ Pezick added.
Officers arrested two Venezuelan migrants on February 1 and charged them with stealing more than $2,000 in merchandise from an Ulta store in Exton, the outlet added.
Massachusetts Spending $64 a Day to Feed Each Migrant, On Track to Spend $1 Billion By 2025

The latest numbers show that the state is paying out $16 for breakfast, $17 for lunch, and a whopping $31 for every dinner every day, according to WBZ-TV.
The state insists that it is required to provide the free food due to its 1983 sanctuary city law, which was passed to deal with a far smaller number of homeless people in the state, Fox Business Network reported.
However, the right to shelter law is not exactly being applied as written. The law also says that those afforded shelter must be supplied with refrigerators and the capability to prepare food, but migrants are being given already-made food, not the capability to prepare their own.
Rhode Island: Illegal Alien Freed from Jail After Allegedly Molesting Child

Though Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents lodged a detainer against him, the Adult Correctional Institute in Cranston, Rhode Island, ignored the request for custody and released him back into the community after a judge gave him a $50,000 surety bail.
The illegal alien was arrested by ICE agents on February 6 and remains in the agencyโs custody while his case and deportation are pending.
Neronha said his office asked the judge to withhold bail from the illegal alien but their request was ignored. Now, he and De La Cruz want an investigation into the handling of the case.

Appeals Court Upholds Ruling Striking Down NYC Voting Rights for Foreigners

Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) President J. Christian Adams, who filed suit against Adams over the law on behalf of black New Yorkers, said the ruling โmarks an important step to stop foreign interference in New York Cityโs elections.โ
โThe Public Interest Legal Foundationโs lawsuit shows that not only did this foreign citizen voting law violate New Yorkโs laws but also the U.S. Constitution and Voting Rights Act,โ Adams said. โMembers of the New York City Council made explicit statements that race was the motivation behind this voting law. In America, we do not allow race-based voting restrictions.โ
The Appellate Division suggested that the law would have eventually opened elected offices to foreign nationals and that foreign voters would become about 15 percent of the cityโs electorate โ often much larger than the margin of victory.
