Texas authorities have arrested an illegal migrant from Honduras on a Greyhound bus headed toward the southern border in connection with the violent rape of a man behind a dumpster outside a New York restaurant, according to prosecutors.

The victim, who passed out drunk before the attack, was allegedly beaten and left for dead in a parking lot outside the Esperanza Deli Cafe in Amityville.

Jose Ignacio Bonilla Garcia, 32, first met the unnamed male victim in the deli, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney‘s Office.

They went outside around 4 a.m. on March 27, and the victim was so intoxicated that he collapsed unexpectedly, authorities said.

Surveillance video allegedly shows Bonilla Garcia drag the unconscious man behind a dumpster andย sexually assault him.

The victim woke up in the middle of the attack, and Bonilla Garcia allegedly beat him unconscious once again with his fists and a wood plank, according to prosecutors, leaving him “bloodied and battered” on the ground before fleeing…

Biden Admin Used Code Word โ€œBenghaziโ€ to Hide Illegal Covid Loans to Planned Parenthood

Biden,
proxy (1)

Documents newly obtained by the Oversight Project from the Small Business Administration show the Biden-Harris administration labeled communications about Covid-era loans to Planned Parenthood under the code word โ€œBenghaziโ€ in order to thwart Freedom of Information Act requests, Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship Chair Joni Ernst (R-IA) revealed today.

Planned Parenthood โ€“ Americaโ€™s largest abortion business โ€“ collected approximately $90 million in forgivable Paycheck Protection Program loans meant to provide emergency relief for small businesses shut down, even though they were ineligible by law.

In January 2026 under the leadership of Administrator Kelly Loeffler, the Small Business Administration opened a review of loans forgiven under Biden, requiring Planned Parenthood affiliates to provide documentation or be disqualified.

Planned Parenthoodโ€™s most recent annual report shows they ended the lives of more than 434,000 unborn babies in 2023-24, an increase of more than 32,000 from the previous year, while their taxpayer funding hit $832 million or nearly $2.3 million per day.

โ€œJust when we think the Democratsโ€™ extremism canโ€™t get more shocking, we see the lengths theyโ€™ll go to in protecting the Big Abortion industry. They knew letting Planned Parenthood help itself to taxpayer-funded Covid loans was illegal โ€“ so they tried to cover their tracks using, of all things, the national horror of Benghazi,โ€ said SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser. โ€œWe thank Senator Joni Ernst, SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler, and our allies in Congress for tirelessly pursuing truth, justice and restitution.

โ€œAs the clear Big Abortion industry leader, Planned Parenthood continues to break records for the number of unborn childrenโ€™s lives taken in a single year, while real health care services like cancer screenings plummet. Women looking for help related to their pregnancy at Planned Parenthood are overwhelmingly sold an abortion instead of given prenatal care, miscarriage care, or help making an adoption plan. They have even been exposed by The New York Times for injuring women and providing horrifyingly substandard so-called โ€˜careโ€™ while funneling tens of millions into political activism and endless lawfare.

โ€œFor the first time last year, under the exceptional leadership of House Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune, Congress defunded Big Abortion businesses of over half a billion in Medicaid dollars in the Working Families Tax Cuts. But absent further action, that defunding measure expires this July 4. This is now a basic pro-life policy expectation and the GOP base overwhelmingly supports it. We urge Congress to stand strong and do everything in its power to pass a reconciliation bill that keeps Big Abortion defunded. Taxpayers should never be forced to fund the brutality of abortion.โ€

Three in four Republican primary voters support defunding Planned Parenthood, a Cygnal poll earlier this year found, and one-third would be less enthusiastic about voting in November and less willing to volunteer if GOP leaders abandon pro-life policies.

New Yorkers are about to experience a much faster commute from JFK Airport to Manhattan.

The trip, which can take more than an hour by car or public transit, now has a shortcut thanks to Joby Aviation.

Starting Monday, April 27, the company will be demonstrating the efficiency of its new technology with a week-long display of its air taxis traveling from the popular airport to three different hubs in Manhattan.

The electric air taxis boast technology that allows them to be extremely quiet in airspace and produce zero operating emissions, according to the company’s press release.

The vehicles will travel between JFK Airport and the Downtown Skyport as well as the West 30th Street and East 34th Street heliports in Midtown.

The air taxis hold up to four passengers and can fly up to 140 mph, Joby Aviation noted to NBC News.

โ€œIn terms of the price point, our target is to be competitive with ground transportation over time,โ€ Joby Aviation CEO JoeBen Bevirt also told NBC News.

NBC News reported that the FAA could grant approval for the air taxis within the coming year. And Joby Aviation shared in its press release that the company is working toward that certification with test flights….

Alphanso Talley (Chicago police)

The suspect, 26-year-old Alphanso Talley, was escorted in with security surrounding him. The judge asked him to confirm his name three times. Talley did not answer.

The public defender representing Talley requested a continuance until April 30 to confer with the defendant. They also asked for a health care order for Talley. The judge granted both motions.

Talley ended up at the hospital after he was arrested in a dollar store robbery, new details released Monday show.

Prosecutors say at 8 a.m. Saturday, Talley and an accomplice entered a Family Dollar store, hit the clerk with a gun, robbed an employee and took money from the store. An employee identified Talley to police.

When officers went to arrest him, prosecutors say Talley told them he swallowed narcotics, which is why he was brought to Endeavor Health Swedish Hospital in Northwest Chicago.

Once there, as Talley was to be taken into a room for a CT scan, Officer Bartholomew removed his handcuffs so he could have the CT scan.

At that moment, prosecutors say Talley reached down and pulled out a handgun, shooting Bartholomew in the head. Then he shot a second officer and ran away.

Officer Bartholomew, an 11-year veteran of the police force, was killed. The second officer, who is 57 years old and a 21-year veteran of the police force, remained in critical condition Monday.

To get out of the hospital, police say Talley shot out a window. Naked, he ran off and then hid under a porch.

Thatโ€™s where he was found. Police say he still had the gun used to shoot the officers.

Talley has a prior criminal history. It includes a gun conviction in 2021 and four aggravated robbery convictions.

One of the victims in a carjacking Talley had been arrested for talked with NewsNation local affiliate WGN……

Janette MacAusland, 49, of Wellesley, Massachusetts, was taken into custody by police in Bennington, Vermont on Friday night after she arrived at a family home in that town “appearing highly distraught,” and having a visible, bloody neck injury.

“Officers attempted to engage her in conversation and, during the interaction, became increasingly concerned for the welfare of her children,” the Bennington Police Department said in a release.

Police say they contacted Wellesley authorities for a welfare check at her Massachusetts home.

When Wellesley police arrived on the scene, they made a grisly discovery. They say MacAusland’s two children were found dead.

They took MacAusland into custody as a fugitive from justice, and said Massachusetts issued a criminal warrant for two counts of murder.

She is being held in the Marble Valley Correctional Facility in Vermont and will be arraigned Monday afternoon at Rutland Criminal Division court…..

The man convicted in the cold-blooded killing of NYPD Detective Jonathan Diller was sentenced Monday to 115 years to life in prison, as a judge made clear the defendant will “most certainly die in a prison cell.”

Guy Rivera, 36, was handed the sentence in a Queens courtroom after being convicted of aggravated manslaughter and attempted murder in the March 2024 shooting of the 31-year-old detective during a traffic stop in Far Rockaway, according to Fox 5 New York and the Queens District Attorneyโ€™s Office.

Rivera was also convicted of attempting to murder NYPD Sgt. Sasha Rosen, who was on scene during the shooting.

The sentencing unfolded inside a packed courtroom, where Dillerโ€™s family delivered emotional statements about the devastation left behind โ€” what his widow has described as a “life sentence of grief.”

Before handing down the sentence, Queens Supreme Court Justice Michael Aloise acknowledged the familyโ€™s pain โ€” while underscoring the reality Rivera now faces.

“The defendant killed your loved oneโ€ฆ there are no words in the English language that are going to take away the pain and suffering,” Aloise said. “Not even the knowledge that this defendant will most certainly die in a prison cell and I promise you he will.”

Rivera was found guilty earlier this month of aggravated manslaughter, attempted murder of a police officer and multiple weapons charges.

However, the jury acquitted him of first-degree murder, a decision that drew fierce backlash from law enforcement officials and the detectiveโ€™s supporters….

April 26, 2026 – Cover Story: Stock Act

Congressman Sheila Cherilus-McCormick recently resigned after being found guilty on 25 ethics violations after a House Ethics Committee hearing.

Itโ€™s the latest reminder of elected officials found to be using their public positions for personal gain. Another layer to the outrage: members of Congress quietly posting fantastical returns in the stock market โ€” while many Americans struggle just to cover groceries and gas.

Today we look at why this longstanding scandal is as hot as ever and whether real reform is on the horizon.
