ICE arrests 4 New Jersey migrants convicted of exploiting kids

Four migrants who have previously been convicted of crimes involving the exploitation of children have been arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers in New Jersey this month as part of an ongoing targeted enforcement operation, the agency announced.
ICEโs Homeland Security Investigations and Enforcement and Removal Operations-Newark units have arrested Gerson Jose Saenz Umana, 27, of El Salvador; Javier Garcia Nicolasa, 42, of Mexico; Juan Villatoro Valle, 45, of El Salvador; and Reyes Peralta-Salazar, 38, of Mexico.

Garcia Nicolasa was convicted of endangering sexual conduct with a child by a caretaker on Dec. 1, 2023, ICE said in a news release. He was sentenced to three years in prison. Officials said he entered the U.S. illegally at an unknown time and location.
Saenz Umana is a registered sex offender who officials said has a sealed criminal history that involves the exploitation of a child.
Villatoro Valle was convicted of sexual assault involving a victim under the age of 13 in 2019, as well as aggravated criminal sexual assault and endangering with sexual conduct, ICE said. He was sentenced to five years in prison.
He reportedly entered the U.S. without inspection sometime before 2000 and was granted Temporary Protected Status in 2006, but his application for permanent residency was denied in 2009….
Delta Airlines co-pilot arresteda in California, booked on child sex charges

A co-pilot on a Delta Airlines flight from Minneapolis to San Francisco that was arrested upon landing at San Francisco International Airport has been identified. According to the Contra Costa County Sheriffโs Office, Rustom Bhagwagar, a 34-year-old Florida resident, was arrested at SFO Saturday night for sex crimes against a child.
According to law enforcement, Bhagwagar has been booked on five counts of oral copulation with a child under 10 years old.
He is being held in lieu of $5 million in bail, sheriffโs department officials said on Monday.
Contra Costa County Officer of the Sheriff Investigation Division have been investigating Bhagwagar since April and had secured a Ramey arrest warrant for him prior to Saturdayโs arrest.

WSDOT seeks sanctions against whistleblower regarding CCA impact to gas prices

The Washington State Department of Transportation, represented by Attorney General Nick Brownโs former law firm, is seeking sanctions against a former employee whistleblower who alleged he was forced to retire due to forecasts he made anticipating gas price increases due to the Climate Commitment Act.
Scott Smith worked at WSDOT as an economist and claims he was fired after refusing to suppress his finding that the carbon auctions under the CCA would add 40-50 cents to the retail price of gas. After filing a lawsuit against WSDOT, Smith eventually filed for a voluntary dismissal of the lawsuit, citing physical and emotional exhaustion.
However, WSDOTโs sanctions is now demanding that Smith and the Citizen Action Defense Fund that represented him pay the state agencyโs costs and fees.
The agency alleges that both Smith and CADF knew that their lawsuit was not โwell-grounded in fact,โ claiming that Smith deleted text messages on his phone that were found on other employees’ phones. WSDOT had requested a forensic examination of Smith’s phone, but it was not conducted prior to the lawsuitโs voluntary dismissal.
After the lawsuit was filed in March 2024, WSDOT filed a motion to dismiss, but the judge ruled that Smithโs case had legal merit.
WSDOTโs case filing seeking sanctions claims that the โsuspicious timing (of voluntary dismissal) and other facts make it highly likely these ‘lost’ text messages were deleted by Smith himself, though only a forensic examination of his phone could ascertain that with certainty.โ
In an email to The Center Square, CADF wrote that “WSDOT grossly mischaracterizes the events of our clientโs voluntary dismissal,โ referencing a press releaseย statementย announcing that Smith would drop the case….

Two Americans arrested during Iranian espionage crackdown

Two American citizens were arrested in Iran during the 12-day war between Israel and the Islamic Republic, according to KAN, an Israeli public broadcaster. The apprehensions were part of Iranโs effort to limit spying and shore up national security through arrests of those deemed to have links with Israel.
One of the Americans, a resident of New York, remains imprisoned. The other, a Los Angeles resident, has been released on bail. Both men are Jewish and have Iranian roots.
They were among more than 700 people taken into custody, accused of spying and working with countries hostile to Iran. A number of individuals have also reportedly been executed.
Despite the wave of arrests, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has recently called for Iranians abroad to return to the country. He has urged judicial coordination, as many fear they may be arrested upon returning to Iran.
โThese individuals are also assets of this land,โ Pezeshkian said during a recent meeting of Iranโs Foreign Ministry.
Travel advisory
Both men were reportedly visiting family in Iran, despite a warning from the U.S. State Department advising Americans against traveling to the country. …
Yemen Houthis warn they will escalate attacks on ships linked to Israel

Houthi militants in Yemen warn that they will target merchant vessels belonging to any company associated with Israel, regardless of nationality, as part of what they call their next phase of a military campaign against Israel. The Tehran-backed Houthi rebels launched operations that target commercial ships in response to Israelโs war against Hamas in Gaza in 2023.
The Houthis proclaim that the warning is a show of support for the Palestinian people in Gaza. Their attacks against merchant ships over the past two years have disrupted shipping in the Red Sea, which reportedly sees around $1 trillion in goods pass through it each year.
On Sunday, July 27, the Houthis announced they had โdecided to escalate their military support and begin implementing the fourth phase of the naval blockadeโ against Israel.
The militants warned that they would attack โall ships belonging to any company that deals with ports of the Israeli enemy of the nationality of that company, and in any location within the reach of our armed forces.โ The ships identified to be conducting business with Israel will be targeted regardless of the destination, the group added…

Russiagate Shows How Media Use Fake โFact Checksโ To Launder Info Ops

The Washington Postโs Glenn Kessler recently announced he would be leaving the outlet after more than a decade as its lead โfact-checker.โ
The role of โfact-checkersโ โ invented by the left-wing press โ has served not to clarify the facts but rather to manipulate public perception.
And nowhere is this role more apparent than in how the mediaโs โfact-checkersโ โ including Kessler โ covered the Russia collusion hoax, helping legitimize a Hillary Clinton-campaign-funded lie aimed at undermining and sabotaging President Donald Trump…
But when Trump began calling out the hoax in real time, the โfact-checkersโ swooped in to dismiss his claims.
Trump posted on Oct. 19, 2017, that โworkers of firm involved with the discredited and Fake Dossier take the 5th. Who paid for it, Russia, the FBI or the Dems (or all)?โ
Rather than investigate the substance of this question, Kessler instead dismissed Trumpโs concern in a post: โItโs worth rereading the dossier these days. Some material unverified or salacious. But you can see why the FBI saw it as a Rosetta Stone.โ
Kesslerโs post, as The Federalistโs Editor-In-Chief Mollie Hemingway pointed out, โis a great example of how โfactโ โcheckingโ is almost without exception just the laundering of Democrat info ops with another layer of supposed credibility.โ
In another instance, Kessler emphatically declared that โthe Russia investigation did not start with the Steele dossier.โ
But as The Federalistโs Elle Purnell explained, three days after the Clinton campaign peddled its bogus Steele dossier to intelligence officials, the FBI began its investigation โ known as Crossfire Hurricane โ into the Trump campaign in hopes of finding โcollusion between Trump and Russia to steal the 2016 election.โ
Kessler also wrote multiple โfact checksโ asserting that the Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) conclusively proved that โRussians influenced the election in an effort to help Trump get elected.โ But as the newly declassified documents show, while the ICA found Russian President Vladimir Putin did order โcyber influence operationsโ and tried to โundermine faith in the US democratic process,โ the conclusion that Putin favored Trump over Clinton โdid not adhere to the tenets of the ICD [Intelligence Community Directive] standards.โ
Kessler wasnโt alone. PolitiFactโs Angie Drobnic Holan named Trumpโs statement that this โRussian election interference is a โmade-up storyโโ as its 2017 โLie of the Year.โ…

Elon Musk responds to videos of fight in downtown Cincinnati
A fight in the streets of Cincinnati that went viral this weekend has caught the attention of the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, who took to his own platform, X, to comment on the brutality of the attack.
The brawl involving multiple people took place seemingly late at night on Friday, July 25, near the corner of Fourth and Elm streets. Downtown was teeming with people attending the Cincinnati Music Festival at Paycor Stadium.
Multiple fights broke out after two men had what police called a “verbal altercation.” A woman could be seen in videos of the incident, knocked to the ground, possibly unconscious.
The incident was seized upon by those who argue that the current city administration, including the police chief, are not doing enough to combat crime in the city’s urban core.
Musk retweeted an End Wokeness post about the fight and commented on a Libs of TikTok post. The Libs of TikTok post emphasized the race of those involved, which sparked a racially charged discourse in the replies.
“That guy almost killed this woman. Aggravated assault,” Musk replied to the post.
The End Wokeness post commented on the lack of national media coverage. Musk retweeted that post, saying, “Why zero stories?”
Both Libs of TikTok and End Wokeness have large followings with 4.3 million and 3.8 million followers, respectively.
Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge called the behavior “cruel and absolutely unacceptable.” She said her investigators are working diligently to identify and arrest those responsible.
In a retweet of Ohio Sen. Bernie Moreno’s X post, Harmeet Dhillon, assistant attorney general for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, said, “Our federal hate crimes laws apply to ALL Americans” and that the division will monitor how local authorities handle this incident.
“Nobody in our great nation should be the victim of such a crime, and where race is a motivation, federal law may apply,” she added….

Authorities have identified at least four suspects in a violent brawl that took place in downtown Cincinnati, police sources tell Fox News.
FOX 19 reported that the fight took place on Friday night between Elm and Fourth Streets, with videos of the brawl going viral on social media.

A woman was also seen laying unconscious in the street after being punched. Several people can be seen helping her get up, and she eventually regained consciousness.
Police sources told Fox News on Monday that at least four suspects have been identified. Police are still trying to identify at least eight more people, the sources said.
Itโs unclear what led to the fight.
The two individuals were seriously injured in the fight, the police sources said.
Cincinnati Chief of Police Teresa Theetge previously told Fox News Digital she was appalled by the brawl….
New Zealand Government Caught Covering Up Data Exposing Covid โVaccineโ Deaths

The New Zealand government has been accused of covering up data on the nationโs Covid โvaccineโ deaths in order to support its own narrative that the mRNA injections are โsafe and effective.โ
The governmentโs Royal Commission has been tasked with investigating the nationโs COVID-19 response.
However, the body is facing intense criticism for ignoring key scientific data and creating a narrative that unquestioningly supports government policies and the โsafetyโ of mRNA โvaccines.โ
The inquiry, now in Phase Two, is focusing on the mass โvaccinationโ campaign.
However, the Commission is being accused of dismissing credible concerns and cherry-picking evidence to back its conclusions, sidelining any serious scrutiny of vaccine safety.
The Commission received extensive briefings from groups like Voices for Freedom and New Zealand Doctors Speaking Out on Science (NZDSOS).
The briefings included peer-reviewed studies and official data….

The Graveyard of Progressive Misadventures

Sometime after the election of Barack Obama in 2008, the American Left began exploring, then embracing, and finally enacting agendas that proved not only unhinged and unworkable but also fatal to the left-wing project itself.
How did the party so alienate the middle classes when it once professed it was the sole party and protector of those in-between? How did the Democratic Congress sink to a 16 percent approval rating in a current liberal Quinnipiac University poll? How could 63 percent of registered voters view the Democrats unfavorably in a recent Wall Street Journal poll?
In sum: despise the middle class, then lose elections.
At the turn of the millennium, globalization generated massive wealth by opening a 6-billion-person consumer market to the rising global powers of Silicon Valley, media, academia, law, finance, and transnational corporations. The result was a Democrat Party increasingly dominated by a new and different sort of โcommittedโ left-wing billionaire.
The Democrat Party, by the turn of the century, had become a home for the ultra-rich, the upscale professional classes, and the subsidized poor. And its new initiatives reflected the values, ideasโand pretensionsโof the globalized bicoastal elites, from reimagining a sustainable green economy to โdiversityโ and apologetics for Americaโs culpability abroad.
In the ancient days of the 1990s, Bill Clinton ensured that the Democrat party was for strong borders, legal-only immigration, and protection of union jobs from cheap imported labor. Abortion was to be safe, legalโand โrare.โ Now, abortion is often praised and worshipped by the left, as if it is integral to saving a warming planet.
Clintonโs 1992 and 1996 Democrat Party platforms would have been written off as racist and xenophobic.
Once illegal immigration began spiking under Obama, and the old union lunch bucket classes were nearly rendered inert by globalization, the mainstream party began pivoting to open borders.
It assumed that impoverished illegal aliens would soon become new progressive constituents to replace vanishing American working-class voters. โDemography is Destinyโ and โThe New Democratic Majorityโ became party mantras.
By 2020, the party was controlled by open-borders radicals. Illegal immigration was seen as an adjunct to new Diversity/Equity/Inclusion obsessions. Suddenly, an entire array of racialist compound nouns appearedโwhite privilege, white rage, white guilt, white supremacyโwithout any consideration that whites, in total numbers, comprise the largest group of poor people, or that poor white people usually have zero in common with elite white progressives.
In the Democrat bizarro world, the operating assumption seemed to be that if an illegal alien from southern Mexico set foot into the U.S., then he was immediately branded as a โminorityโ with legitimate grievances deserving of reparatory treatment from a country he scarcely knew and with which he had no prior experience, good or bad. It became so moral to break the law to welcome in illegal aliens and amoral to enforce the law and try to return the unlawful to their homes…..
The Moral of the Story With JBP: Thereโs No Such Thing as a Dragon | EP 566
What happens when you ignore a dragon? Dr. Jordan B. Peterson reads and analyzes โThereโs No Such Thing as a Dragonโ by Jack Kent, exploring its psychological and mythological depth.
Using the childrenโs story as a springboard, Peterson unpacks themes of willful blindness, familial dysfunction, and the archetypal heroโs journey.
He draws connections to ancient Egyptian mythology, the Exodus narrative, and the crucifixion of Christโarguing that dragonsโboth literal and symbolicโgrow when we refuse to confront them.

Wisconsin teens would โstill be aliveโ if not for sanctuary policies protecting alleged drunk-driving illegal immigrant

An illegal alien from Honduras faces deportation after allegedly driving while intoxicated and crashing, killing two teenagers in Dane County, Wisconsin.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged a detainer against 30-year-old Noelia Saray Martinez-Avila, who was charged in the deaths of 18-year-old Hallie Helgeson and 19-year-old Brady Heiling.
โHallie Helgeson and Brady Heiling had their whole lives ahead of themโand they would still be alive today if it werenโt for Noelia Saray Martinez-Avilaโa criminal illegal alien from Honduras,โ Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said. โMartinez-Avila recklessly drove the wrong way on a highway while intoxicated and killed these two teens.
โICE has lodged an arrest detainer to remove this public safety threat from the U.S.,โ she continued. โUnfortunately, this sanctuary jurisdiction has a history of not honoring ICE arrest detainers often leading to the release of murderers and other heinous criminals. Under Secretary Noem, these precious victims will not be forgotten, and we will fight for justice.โ
Martinez-Avila faces charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, homicide by the use of a vehicle, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and causing injury, knowingly operating a vehicle with a revoked license while causing death, knowingly operating a vehicle with a revoked license while causing bodily harm, failing to install an ignition interlock device and violating a court order, among other charges.
The West Central Tribune reported that on July 20, Martinez-Avila was allegedly driving a Chevrolet Suburban the wrong way on I-90 when she collided with a Volkswagen Tiguan with Helgeson and Heiling inside…
