Profound Shift: Charlie Kirk’s Martyrdom Is Changing What Americans Will Tolerate
Disney announced on Wednesday that they are “indefinitely” halting ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” shortly after media groups took a stand against Kimmel’s recent statements on the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
As masses of people in the United States and globally grieve the tragic murder of Charlie Kirk, who was shot while answering questions at a campus event in Utah, Kimmel outraged viewers by using his death as an opportunity to malign republicans.
Despite the assassin’s political affiliation and links to transgenderism already being public knowledge, on Monday evening, Kimmel falsely insisted that the killer was a Conservative.
“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel asserted.
Kimmel then proceeded to mock the President, showing a clip to suggest that he was indifferent to Kirk’s murder and stating that Trump is mourning the Turning Point USA founder “the way a 4-year-old mourns a goldfish.”
Contrary to Kimmel’s claim, the loss of Charlie Kirk was deeply felt by the President and other members of the White House, with Secretary of State Marco Rubio this week likening his assassination to a “death in the family.”
While Disney did not initially take action against Jimmy Kimmel for his comments, its hand was forced after Nexstar Media Group, their hundreds of television stations, and others announced their refusal to continue airing the show.
“Mr. Kimmel’s comments about the death of Mr. Kirk are offensive and insensitive at a critical time in our national political discourse, and we do not believe they reflect the spectrum of opinions, views, or values of the local communities in which we are located,” Nexstar underscored in a press release.
The stand taken by the media groups is one of numerous examples showcasing the deep impact of Charlie Kirk’s assassination. Sarah Holliday, reporting for the Family Research Council’s Washington Stand, highlighted this profound shift.
“Across social media and news outlets, a groundswell is emerging,” Holliday emphasized. “People are confessing, ‘I’ve never been to church, but I’m feeling a pull to attend a Sunday service.’ Friends and family have shared with me that their churches were overflowing this past Sunday, a phenomenon echoed nationwide. Alongside this, lifelong atheists and skeptics are turning to prayer and seeking out Bibles. Even those once aligned with the Democratic Party or liberal ideologies are declaring, ‘No more.’ Christians who shared Charlie’s convictions are emerging from the shadows, no longer content to hide behind safe reputations or social media metrics. They’re proclaiming, ‘I don’t care if people reject me. This is the truth, and it must be heard.’”
“Google searches for TPUSA spiked dramatically — first after the tragedy, then surging 455% following Erika Kirk’s first public remarks,” she continued. “Viral videos of Charlie sharing the gospel on college campuses are spreading, and vigils honoring his legacy are being held worldwide. In London, thousands flooded the streets, draped in British and American flags, holding signs that read, ‘We are all Charlie.’ In South Korea, videos capture crowds chanting, ‘We are Charlie Kirk!’ In Canada, Fox News reported massive gatherings singing the U.S. national anthem. Comments from Japan, New Zealand, elsewhere in the U.K., and beyond echo the same sentiment: ‘We’re hurting here, too.’”
“This is a turning point,” Holliday underscored. “That’s the overwhelming consensus. Charlie’s work, which increasingly directed thousands to Christ, touched millions across generations and borders. I don’t believe he ever could have known the impact he had. None of us could have fully grasped his impact until now, in the wake of his passing.”
Despite Being Sold As Irrefutable Fact, ‘Evolution’ Undergoes Yet Another Re-Write
Think back to your high school or college biology textbook, or any evolutionary documentary on “early earth” you’ve ever watched. How was early earth described? Probably as some “hellish” landscape with bubbling lava, no liquid water, and absolutely no life. That’s the story kids are still being told—and even evolutionists don’t really believe it anymore.
I was recently sent an essay by a science writer, Michael Marshall, who specializes in the origin of life, titled “Life Happened Fast: It’s time to rethink how we study life’s origins. It emerged far earlier, and far quicker, than we once thought possible.”
It was a fascinating read—not because I agreed with any of the content, but because it highlighted how nearly everything evolutionists have assumed about early earth and the origin of life has now been shown to be wrong. They’re having to rethink (once again) the beginning of their entire story. Evolutionary belief is so plastic!
And don’t take my word for it! After describing the classic picture of early earth, Marshall writes:
That’s the story palaeontologists and geologists told for many decades. But a raft of evidence suggests it is completely wrong.
The young Earth was not hellish, or at least not for long (in geological terms). And, crucially, life formed quickly after the planet solidified–perhaps astonishingly quickly. It may be that the first life emerged within just millions of years of the planet’s origin.
Considering how complex even the “simplest” life is, this significantly shortened timescale makes the evolutionary origin of life even more impossible than it already was (and it was already utterly impossible—life doesn’t come from nonlife, a fact that’s recognized as the scientific law of biogenesis)…..
He’s right—there wasn’t enough time for life to form in just 100–200 million years. But there also wasn’t enough time when they thought they had a billion years. And there still wouldn’t be enough time if they had 10 billion years, because life does not come from nonlife.
The incredibly complex system of information that is DNA—the most complex language and information system in existence and that we’re only just beginning to truly understand—could not come from a random arrangement of the right molecules that just happened to spontaneously form. It’s impossible. It’s simply too complex (and information only comes from other information, and ultimately from a mind, anyway!).
And that’s just life itself! There are other problems, like where the oceans of liquid water that supposedly somehow quickly covered earth (and are necessary for life) came from, or how that water was in liquid form when the sun, according to evolutionary modeling, was 30% or more fainter at the time when life was supposedly emerging.
Evolutionists have always had a big problem when it comes to the origin of life, but new research that overturns everything they’ve thought about the supposed past only makes their problems worse. That’s why Marshall thinks that “what origins research needs is open-mindedness and a willingness to disagree constructively.”
Of course, he doesn’t mean abandoning the ideas of evolution, billions of years, or life from nonlife—that wouldn’t be allowed. (Though I imagine that aliens seeding life on earth would be an acceptable solution to their problem. Intelligent design is usually fine as long as it’s ET and not God—and certainly not the God of the Bible!)
We don’t need to spend millions of dollars and countless hours of valuable research time trying to figure out how life first arrived on planet earth. We already have the answer: “In the beginning, God. . . .” (Genesis 1:1)
Iraqi Christian killed in France after facing online threats from Muslims
An Iraqi Christian was stabbed to death last Friday while livestreaming on TikTok about his faith outside his apartment in Lyon, France.
Ashur Sarnaya, a disabled Assyrian Christian who used a wheelchair, had fled persecution from the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group in Iraq and had reportedly stated that he received threats in online comments and anonymous phone calls. He was 45.
The attack reportedly happened before 10:30 p.m. local time near his apartment at 53 Rue Sergent Michel Berthet in the ninth arrondissement. Witnesses reported that the assailant waited for Sarnaya and stabbed him in the neck.
The regional daily news website Le Progrès reported that the attacker severed Sarnaya’s carotid artery and fled. Le Progrès reported that Sarnaya suffered cardio-respiratory arrest when emergency services arrived and could not be revived.
“In a video clip still online Thursday morning, we see the victim, authenticated by relatives, with blood on his face, visibly flowing from his nose and mouth,” Le Progrès reported.
A witness showed news agency AFP a video of “a person seen from behind leaving the scene, wearing dark clothing and a hood over his head, whom he identified as the perpetrator of the murder,” according to Le Progrès.
A police source told Le Progrès that authorities are not yet prioritizing a theory on motives for the murder.
“Nothing points us in the direction of a solid line of inquiry, whether criminal, political, religious or drug-related,” the officer reportedly said. “He was very active on social media; we are working on that.”…

Trump: US trying to get Bagram Airbase ‘back’ from Taliban in Afghanistan
President Donald Trump on Thursday said his administration is “trying” to get the former U.S. Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan “back” from the Taliban.
In remarks to the press while standing alongside U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the president criticized the handling of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan under President Joe Biden and said he had “a little breaking news.”
“We’re trying to get it back,” Trump said. “We’re trying to get it back because they need things from us.”
Trump did not expand on whom he was referring to or, if referring to the Taliban, the terrorist organization that took over the country in 2021, what they “need” from the United States.
