The Spirit Of Antichrist: Humanity Is Increasingly Looking For Answers, Hope, And Salvation From Sources Other Than The Creator

Crowd of people walking away from futuristic city toward glowing portal on mountain, AI image.
A large group of people walk from a dark city toward a radiant portal in the mountains.

Is the Antichrist alive today? Will he be European? How much of todayโ€™s technology is capable of fulfilling Revelation 13? These are questions I have been asked just this week.

Yet while these questions are important, they often miss a deeper truth about the spirit of antichrist already at work in the world.

Most people think โ€œantichristโ€ means someone who stands in direct opposition to Christ.

While opposition is certainly involved, the Greek meaning carries another powerful implication: instead of Christ.

Humanity is increasingly looking for answers, hope, security, wisdom, and salvation from sources other than the Creator.

The spirit of antichrist is conditioning mankind to trust somethingโ€”or someoneโ€”instead of God.

Trusting Technology Instead of God

On July 23, 2025, the White House released Winning the Race: Americaโ€™s AI Action Plan, a roadmap designed to secure American dominance in artificial intelligence.

The stated goal was clear: to usher in a new era of human flourishing, economic competitiveness, and national security through AI.

To support this initiative, three executive orders were issued that accelerated AI infrastructure, expanded governmental adoption of artificial intelligence, and promoted American leadership in AI worldwide.

Among the priorities were:

โ€ข Massive expansion of data center infrastructure

โ€ข Government standards for AI deployment, eliminating all โ€œwokeโ€ AI.

โ€ข Global leadership and influence through artificial intelligence

The message is unmistakable: technology will solve our problems, secure our future, and elevate humanity.

Scripture warns us that mankind has always sought salvation through human achievement.

From the Tower of Babel to the coming Beast system, humanity repeatedly attempts to build a future apart from God.

Artificial intelligence itself is not the antichrist. Technology is not inherently evil.

However, when society begins placing its faith in technological solutions rather than Godโ€™s wisdom, it reveals a heart posture that is increasingly comfortable with living instead of God.

Trusting Scientists Instead of God

In recent years, scientists have issued alarming warnings about population decline.

Some forecasts predict a dramatic reduction in global population by the year 2064. These predictions dominate headlines and influence public policy discussions around the world.

The Bible also speaks of a future period, the Tribulation, of unprecedented death and suffering.

However, Scripture identifies the source not as random demographic trends but as the judgments associated with the coming Tribulation period.

The world eagerly listens to scientific predictions about the future while largely ignoring biblical prophecy. The issue is not whether scientists possess useful information.

The issue is where humanity places its ultimate trust. When people accept scientific forecasts as certain truth while dismissing Godโ€™s revealed Word, they are choosing authority instead of God.

Trusting Global Institutions Instead of God

Another example can be found in the growing influence of international organizations.

Recent concerns surrounding Ebola outbreaks in Central Africa prompted urgent declarations from global health authorities. Headlines warned that โ€œthe world is not ready for another pandemic.โ€

World leaders repeatedly emphasize that another worldwide health crisis is not a matter of if, but when. Fear drives people toward centralized solutions. Crisis creates opportunities for expanded authority.

Emergency conditions often lead populations to surrender freedoms in exchange for promises of security. Again, the issue is not whether medical professionals should respond to disease outbreaks. The issue is where people ultimately place their confidence.

The world increasingly looks to international institutions for protection, guidance, and hope while giving little thought to Godโ€™s sovereignty over nations, disease, and history itself.

The pattern is becoming clear: trust the experts, trust the institutions, trust the systemsโ€”but do not trust God. That is the spirit of antichrist.

The Real Preparation for Revelation 13….

Two Republicans to face off in redrawn California district

Two Republican candidates are projected to head off to a general election in a congressional district that was redrawn to favor Democrats.

Californiaโ€™s 40th Congressional District was redrawn after the passage of Proposition 50 in November 2025 to favor Democrats in election to the U.S. House of Representatives.

However, Republicans have notched wins in several redrawn districts and have now locked out Democrats from securing a win in Californiaโ€™s 40th congressional district.

Under California law, the top two vote getters in each race in the June 2 primary advance to the Nov. 3 general election, regardless of party affiliation.

U.S. Reps. Ken Calvert and Young Kim, both Republicans, are projected to head to the Nov. 3 election in the 40th Congressional District.

Kim and Calvert traded sharp barbs throughout the primary election process.

Kim celebrated the projected win in a statement posted to social media. She criticized Calvertโ€™s record in the U.S. House and his funding mechanisms.

โ€œAfter more than three decades in Washington, it is time for fresh conservative leadership,โ€ Kim said in a statement. โ€œI will continue fighting to root out fraud, secure borders, for safer, more affordable communities, and a stronger economy.โ€…

Mamdani starts reelection fundraising for 2029 reelection run

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is already looking ahead to his 2029 reelection run, launching an early fundraising drive as he prepares for political battles.

In a Thursday text message obtained by Politico, Mamdani (D-N.Y.) urged supporters to contribute immediately, arguing that his political opponents are working year-round to build financial and political influence.

โ€œTheir fundraising is constant and prolific. In closed-door meetings, wealthy donors and insider operatives consider how to influence our politics year-round. Thatโ€™s how our opponents secured the resources to spend $83 million against our movement last year. โ€ฆ Thatโ€™s why weโ€™re making investments in our movement starting right now,โ€ Mamdani wrote.

The mayorโ€™s urgent message comes as he faces increasing opposition from NYC Common Sense.

The newly formed organization aims to challenge his progressive agenda through litigation, policy proposals and aggressive advertising campaigns.

Led by former mayoral candidate Jim Walden and political consultant Phil Singer, the group has already raised approximately $1 million from undisclosed donors.

Mamdaniโ€™s rise to City Hall was fueled by an affordability-focused campaign centering on economic inequality, childcare, transit and housing costs.

Since taking office, he has pursued a distinctly progressive agenda, including the expansion of social services and major public housing initiatives.

Mamdani built a large small-dollar network during his mayoral campaign, which played a role in his election victory.

Democrat strategist Trip Yang noted that while it is remarkably early to fundraise for 2029, the move is a smart tactical play.

โ€œA strong early fundraising number is important to show the reelection is well-positioned. Zohran walks on water with many Democratic primary voters, but he has his skeptics and some Democrats jealous of his success. An impressive start can head off the more serious potential challengers,โ€ said Yang…

Trump Allies Seek New Path for Jan. 6 Payouts

President Donald Trumpโ€™s supporters on Jan. 6, 2021.

While the Justice Department has said it has abandoned plans for โ€ŒPresident Donald Trump’s proposed $1.8 billion “weaponization” fund, some of his allies are shifting focus to a different way to make payouts to his supporters, including those who took part in the Jan. 6, 2021, breach of the U.S. Capitol.

The most viable path, according to Trump allies and legal experts, may involve compensating these supporters under a 1946 law called the Federal Tort Claims Act.

That measure lets people file administrative claims – and subsequent lawsuits – against the U.S. government for alleged wrongdoing, which can then be settled out of court.

“At my level, the fund is dead,” Stanley Woodward, the third-ranking official at the Justice Department, said in an interview with Reuters. “If somebody wants to submit a claim against the government and sue us, they can still do that.”

The Republican president repeatedly has expressed support for federal payouts to supporters whom he has portrayed as being targeted by a “weaponized” U.S. government under his Democrat predecessor Joe Biden.

But the “anti-weaponization” fund, โ€Œcrafted as part of a legal settlement between Trump and the Justice Department to resolve his $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS over allegedly mishandling his tax records, was put on hold amid fierce opposition from Republicans in Congress.

Trump critics derided it as โ€‹a slush fund to reward supporters with taxpayer money.

The strategy has long been in the works.

Conservative lawyers debated the plan during a previously โ unreported strategy session at the 2024 Republican National Convention, according to longtime Trump ally Michael Caputo, who attended the meeting.

Other payout options are still being explored, according to Caputo, who helped lead “anti-weaponization” efforts in Trump’s 2024 election campaign and filed the first known โ€‹claim under the now-abandoned “weaponization” fund…..

Judge Tosses Bid to Halt White House UFC Event

UFC show this weekend in an elaborate ring already built on the South Lawn to celebrate the nation's 250th anniversary โ€” on President Donald Trump's 80th birthday.

A federal judge on Friday refused to stop the White House from staging a UFC show this weekend in an elaborate ring already built on the South Lawn to celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary โ€” on President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday.

U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta’s ruling allows organizers to use the White House lawn as the venue for Sunday’s planned UFC mixed martial arts event.

Mehta concluded that the plaintiffs likely don’t have legal standing to challenge the event and have failed to prove that they would suffer irreparable harm by the event going forward as planned.

The judge also cited the plaintiffs’ “unreasonable delay” in suing to challenge an event that’s been in the works for months.

“In the context of an emergency application โ€” and coupled with the fact that the UFC fight date was long ago known โ€” it is fair to say Plaintiffs unreasonably delayed bringing suit, undercutting their claims of irreparable harm,” Mehta wrote.

Attorneys from the nonprofit Public Integrity Project sued to challenge Trump’s “UFC Freedom 250” event on behalf of an activist and a Vietnam War veteran.

The two plaintiffs also asked the court to block organizers from building anything for the event on White House grounds, including a 92-foot-tall, 600-ton steel structure called The Claw.

The plaintiffs’ alleged “aesthetic harms,” the judge noted, are temporary since The Claw will be disassembled starting Monday morning and staging equipment at the Lincoln Memorial must be removed before then. “The President’s musings about permanency of the Claw does not move the dial in the face of a White House official’s clear representation,” the judge wrote.

The White House called the lawsuit a baseless attempt to prevent Trump from hosting an event that’s no different from many others routinely hosted at public forums in the nation’s capital.

US withdraws long-range military capabilities from NATO

The US is planning to withdraw access to deep strike capabilities for NATO allies as part of its wider plan to pull out of Europe’s security architecture.

The Trump administration informed NATO allies last year it would cut military assets available to Europe even during times of war or invasion, but until now, the details of exactly how the Pentagon intends to scale back access to such assets were unclear.

According to sources, everything linked to deep strike capabilities will be cut, Euronews has learned.

Specifically, this includes US long-range bombers such as the B2 and B-52. Naval assets, including missile-launching submarine and aircraft carriers, will also be withdrawn and re-directed to other theatres.

According to reporting from the New York Times, the US is also planning on reducing the number of F-16 and F-15E fighter jets available to NATO from roughly 150 to 100 and maritime reconnaissance aircraft from 26 to 15, as well as withdrawing all eight aerial refuelling tanker jets previously available to Europe.

The significant changes to US commitments are being undertaken within NATOโ€™s so-called Force Model system, which allows allies and military planners identify troops and capabilities available to NATO operations based on deterrence and threat assessment.

Confirming its plans, the US European Command said in a statement last week that it would โ€œright sizeโ€ its contributions to the NATO Force Model…..

Migrant Male Found Guilty in Infamous Scottish Axe Girl Incident, Police Make Almost-Apology Over Initial โ€˜Misinformationโ€™ Browbeating

The case of a 13-year-old girl who held an axe and knife while another child shouted โ€œget the fuck away from usโ€, guilty ruling for Bulgarian migrant male Ilia Belov, 22.

The case of a 13-year-old girl who held an axe and knife while another child shouted โ€œget the fuck away from usโ€ at a leering migrant male has resulted in a guilty ruling for Bulgarian migrant male Ilia Belov, 22.

The case attracted immense media attention after footage of part of the incident of the attack in Dundee, Scotland, the United Kingdom in August 2025 was published online.

This attention was intensified particularly after police, politicians, and media acted together to scorn the public for discussing the case, with authorities decrying misinformation while spreading โ€” the court result now suggests โ€” disinformation of their own.

Police have now acknowledged information they gave โ€œdid not fully reflect the situationโ€ but stopped short of an apology.

Ilia Belov has been found guilty of assaulting a 12-year-old girl in Dundee on August 23rd 2025, and of behaving in a โ€œthreatening or abusive mannerโ€ towards four girls aged between 12 and 14 years old.

His 20-year-old sister, Nadjedzha Belova, earlier pleaded guilty to  assaulting a 13-year-old girl in the same incident.

Both will be sentenced on August 5th.

In the social media footage that was widely seen at the time of the 2025 attack, a male confronts a group of children, who are shouting at the man to leave them alone.

As one girl shouts โ€œget the fuck away from usโ€, another clearly distressed girl pulls a hand-axe and a knife from the waistband of her trousers.

The court heard Belovโ€™s defence that he had been walking to the shops to buy cigarettes when a group of children, with zero provocation, started shouting abuse at him, including โ€œfucking migrantโ€, reports The Daily Record.

Belov claims he then called his 20-year-old sister to the scene because he was scared of the group of young girls.

Once his sister arrived, Belov claimed he then believed one of the girls was going to attack Nadjedzha Belova, so he pushed the child to the ground. He said the girls were โ€œdisrespecting meโ€ and he only went after them to find out why, adding โ€œI am human. I deserve to ask them why I deserve so much disrespect. I didnโ€™t do anything to them.โ€

But the judge, Sheriff Timothy Niven-Smith, said Belovโ€™s defence was โ€œwholly unconvincing and self-servingโ€ and rejected it.

The court heard, in fact, that it was Belov who had shouted at the children first and was said to have called to them โ€œhello sexy, Iโ€™ll show you a good timeโ€.

Belov swore in court โ€œNo, I swear on my godโ€ that he didnโ€™t offer the girls โ€œa good timeโ€, but this was rejected. The judge said โ€œI am entirely satisfied by proof beyond reasonable doubt that the trigger for all of this were the comments that you madeโ€…..

VIDEO: High School Girl Sues School and State After Alleged Assault by Trans Wrestling Opponent

The female athlete, Kallie Keeler,

In February, Kallie Keeler, 16, a sophomore wrestler at Rogers High School in Puyallup, Washington, claimed that the assault occurred during a December 6 girls wrestling match against Emerald Ridge High School.

The teen says that when she was on the mat, face down, and her opponent โ€” who is a male who identifies as female โ€” was on top of her, her opponent put his hand between her legs and then began trying to push his fingers into her vagina.

Keeler filed a complaint with her school district, and an investigation was started, but little came of it.

After all, the state of Washington has state-wide education rules that allow transgender students the freedom to do whatever they feel compelled to do in the stateโ€™s schools.

Now, Keeler is suing.

โ€œWashington state officials insist on pushing gender ideology at all costs โ€” even at the expense of girlsโ€™ safety and privacy,โ€ ADF Senior Counsel Kate Anderson, director of the ADF Center for Parental Rights, said in a press release.

โ€œKallie is a sophomore in high school. Sheโ€™s been wrestling since she was four, and at a wrestling match in December, an all-girls tournament, Kallie unknowingly wrestled against a male athlete who identified as female, ADF attorney Suzanne Beecher told The Center Square.

โ€œDuring the match, she was sexually assaulted by this male athlete. Her mom immediately reported what happened to the school, and they didnโ€™t hear anything for months until it hit the media, and the school finally did what theyโ€™re required to do and reported the case to law enforcement,โ€ the attorney added.

Beecher noted that Washington Stateโ€™s rules for transgender athletes run counter to federal Title IX rules and that the stateโ€™s rules directly violate womenโ€™s rights to safety and fairness in sports.

The lawsuit names the Puyallup School District and the state, and was filed by the teen and her mother.

โ€œWe are seeking the ability for Kallie to compete on a level playing field, for her mom to be able to know at a minimum if there is a male competing in the female category, and for compensation for what happened to he,โ€ Beecher explained.

Some Democrats Propose Tearing Down White House Ballroom: Itโ€™s โ€˜Dirtyโ€™

President Trump has emphasized the need for the White House ballroom, particularly in the wake of the failed assassination attempt during the White House Correspondentsโ€™ Association Dinner at the Washington Hilton in April.

โ€œWhat happened last night is exactly the reason that our great Military, Secret Service, Law Enforcement and, for different reasons, every President for the last 150 years, have been DEMANDING that a large, safe, and secure Ballroom be built ON THE GROUNDS OF THE WHITE HOUSE,โ€ Trump wrote on Truth Social after the near-incident.

โ€œThis event would never have happened with the Militarily Top Secret Ballroom currently under construction at the White House,โ€ he added.

But Democrats continue to loathe the idea.

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) believes the ballroom is โ€œdirty,โ€ telling NOTUS that it is being โ€œbuilt with corrupt money, and it will always be dirty.โ€

โ€œSo Iโ€™m not sure that a president who cares about ferreting out corruption is going to be able to keep that ballroom standing,โ€ he suggested.

Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) also suggested that the ballroom should be taken apart, sold piece by piece to recoup costs.

โ€œI think we have to be ready to really wipe out any of the illegal acts that this president has done, and that includes any of these architectural enhancements,โ€ he told the outlet, adding, โ€œWeโ€™ll sell it piece by piece.โ€

Other Democrats suggest using the ballroom for something else completely. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortex (D-NY), for instance, suggested it be used as a soup kitchen or community center, while former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg (D) said future presidents should โ€œreuse it for something better.โ€

Speaking outside of the construction site in May, Trump walked through the complexities of the massive addition, which he believes is long overdue.

The ballroom merely serves as a โ€œshieldโ€ of sorts, protecting all the space underneath, which will include a military hospital, meeting rooms, and more, according to the president.

โ€œThese are all different rooms out here,โ€ Trump said. โ€œTheyโ€™re building a hospital. Theyโ€™re building a military hospital. Theyโ€™re building all sorts of research facilities โ€” also meeting rooms and rooms that go hand in hand for the military, using the ballroom, and the ballroom is really a shield and protecting all of the things that are built here.โ€

โ€œItโ€™s all knit together between the drone proofing [and] the missile proofing. We have had the drone capacity upstairs. We can have all sorts of military up, whether โ€” I hate to use the word snipers, but we have great sniper capacity,โ€ the president said, emphasizing that it is โ€œbuilt for our snipers, not the enemy snipers.โ€

โ€œAnd because of the height, we get a very clear view of everything all over Washington,โ€ Trump added.

Democrat Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) is one of the few Democrats who has been unbothered by the construction, attributing the hate to โ€œTDS,โ€ short for Trump Derangement Syndrome.

โ€œItโ€™s not going to cost the taxpayers a penny,โ€ host Sean Hannity said to the senator. โ€œItโ€™s going to be one of the most secure buildings by far in the world. Why would there be any reluctance or resistance to building it when every future president will benefit from it?โ€…

Elon Musk’s SpaceX began trading at $150 a share on Friday, above its listing price of $135 a share, making him the world’s first-ever trillionaire following the IPO.

The rocket and satellite company raised a record $75 billion, valuing the company at about $1.8 trillion, pushing the value of Musk’s stake in SpaceX to an estimated $690 billion.

The company is trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker “SPCX” after pricing its IPO on Thursday.

Combined with his holdings in electric vehicle maker Tesla, as well as other investments and assets, Musk’s net worth is now estimated at about $1.1 trillion.

SpaceX stock jumped after it began trading, rising to $168.75 a share before paring some of those gains to trade around $158 a share and subsequently rebounding to roughly $164 a share.

Investor demand for SpaceX has been intense.

Reuters reported this week that the company attracted more than $250 billion in orders, while Bloomberg News reported Thursday that retail investors alone submitted more than $70 billion in requests for shares.

The company is expected to allocate at least 20% of the offering to retail investors, according to Bloomberg โ€” an unusually large portion for individual investors in a deal of this size…..

Active shooting incident in Midland, Texas, leaves 1 dead, multiple others injured

Police are responding to an active shooting situation in Midland, Texas, Friday, June 12, 2026. (KOSA VIA NNS)

At least one person is dead and others were injured in an active shooting situation while the suspect has barricaded himself inside a building in downtown Midland, Texas, Midland Mayor Lori Blong said in a Friday press conference.

Midland Mayor Lori Blong said there were 11 victims in total, and that police have established a perimeter and are asking residents to avoid the area. It was not clear exactly where the gunfire took place.

Blong said during a press conference that there were no confirmed details about the shooter, who is “contained.”

The FBI is aware of the shooting and has agents from its Midland satellite office on scene, a bureau source told Fox News Digital.

The situation began in southeast Midland and progressed across south Midland, Blong said, before police were first dispatched at 8:03 a.m. local time.

Midland Memorial Hospital said it had received nine victims from the shooting, with four are in the operating room and five considered stable.

The hospital’s main campus went on lockdown for nearly two hours due to the shooting, and the emergency department continues to be locked down.

Rikers Island captain charged with extortion, accused of forcing guards to pay her, drive her around

Latanya Brown, pictured, who was known as the "Terror of the Tombs" back when she worked at the Manhattan Detention Complex, sunk to criminal lows when she was transferred to Rikers Island in early 2024, according to a federal extortion and wage theft indictment unsealed in Brooklyn.

A Rikers Island Correction captain has been arrested for forcing her subordinates to pay her, buy her gifts and drive her to restaurants and a casino while on duty, according to federal prosecutors.

Latanya Brown, 51 โ€” who was known as the โ€œTerror of the Tombsโ€ back when she worked at the Manhattan Detention Complex โ€” sunk to criminal lows when she was transferred to Rikers Island in early 2024, according to a federal extortion and wage theft indictment unsealed in Brooklyn Thursday.

Brown was assigned to the jail complexโ€™s Facility Operations Department as a supervisor from July 2024 to November 2025.

According to the indictment, she acted as a tyrant โ€” threatening to mess with two of her subordinatesโ€™ shifts and vacation requests, and deny overtime if she didnโ€™t get what she wanted.

What she wanted, the feds allege, was money, luxury goods and personal chauffeurs.

She demanded cash, paid over the Zelle app, a Louis Vuitton bag, and rides to restaurants, bars, personal appointments and a casino, the feds allege.

And the two Department of Correction officers under her command complied, fearing what she would do if they said no, according to the indictment…..

Trump Administration Says 146,000 Migrant Children Missing Since Biden Years Have Been Located

The Trump administration said Thursday that federal officials have located 146,000 unaccompanied migrant children who entered the United States during the Biden administration and were later released to sponsors, while nearly 300,000 remain unaccounted for.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin announced the figures during a press conference at the Justice Department in Washington.

โ€œWe found 146,000 kids so far โ€” 146,000 kids. We still have nearly 300,000 missing,โ€ Mullin said.

The administration said the number of children located has risen sharply from about 22,000 last summer, as federal agencies have intensified efforts to determine the whereabouts and safety of minors who crossed the U.S.-Mexico border without a parent or guardian.

According to administration officials, more than 500,000 unaccompanied migrant children entered the United States during the Biden administration.

After crossing the southern border, those children were transferred to the Department of Health and Human Services and later released to sponsors inside the country.

Mullin sharply criticized the Biden administrationโ€™s handling of those cases, alleging that poor oversight allowed hundreds of thousands of children to be released without sufficient follow-up.

โ€œWhen we start digging into these cases, and you start hearing the absolute horrific things that took place underneath the Biden administration, either true neglect at best and criminal at worst, to allow 450,000 kids to go missing throughout this country,โ€ Mullin said.

The Trump administration has made locating the children a priority, saying federal agencies are working to identify where they are and whether they are safe.

Officials did not provide additional details Thursday on the methods used to locate the 146,000 children or on the condition of those found. They also did not provide a timeline for locating the nearly 300,000 children who remain unaccounted for.
