One such video from U.S. Central Command is a 1-minute, 46-second recording from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform.
Captured in 2013, the video shows an area of contrast resembling an eight-pointed star.

Court strikes tariff, Trump moves ahead with replacement
President Donald Trump’s administration signaled Friday it intends to appeal a federal trade court’s ruling striking down his 10% global tariff as unlawful, while simultaneously pressing ahead with a separate round of import taxes that could take effect as early as July.
American businesses have paid $166 billion in tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.
Those tariffs, which the Supreme Court struck down in February, are in the process of being refunded to the importers who paid them.
An additional $8 billion was collected from the Section 122 tariff, which was struck down Thursday, according to We Pay the Tariffs, a coalition of nearly 1,200 small businesses that opposes tariffs.
The Yale Budget Lab, a nonpartisan policy research center, estimated the Section 122 tariffs would cost the average U.S. household between $600 and $800 per year….
Latest jobs report ‘SMASHES’ expectations — stock market surges
The April jobs report shows much stronger than expected growth, and the stock market has reacted by surging positively.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics said about 115,000 new jobs were added in April. The rate of unemployment held at 4.3%.
Most of the gains were in the health care sector with 37,000 jobs, while both transportation and warehousing added 30,000 jobs.
The White House touted the comments from CNBC on-air editor Rick Santelli.
“The big jobs report for April — 65,000 expected! Nay, nay, nay! We are much stronger: 115,000!” he said. “And last month? Upward revision from 178,000 to 185,000! These are good numbers!”

Israeli airstrikes kill 5 in southern Lebanon as Hezbollah rockets hit open areas in Israel
Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon killed at least five people Friday, while Hezbollah fired rockets on northern Israel without in inflicting any casualties.
The Health Ministry in Lebanon said that an Israeli airstrike on the southern village of Toura near the port city of Tyre killed four people and wounded eight.
Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency report another airstrike near the southeastern village of Kfar Chouba, saying it killed a paramedic with the Lebanese Civil Defense.
The strikes came hours after the Israeli army’s Arabic-language spokesperson issued an evacuation warning to the residents of six villages in Tyre province, including Toura.
In the early afternoon, Hezbollah fired a salvo of rockets toward northern Israel.
The Israeli military said it shot down one rocket while the rest fell in open areas without inflicting casualties.
The latest exchange between Israel and Hezbollah, despite a ceasefire that has been in place since April 17, came two days after the first Israeli airstrike on Beirut’s southern suburbs since the ceasefire went into effect.
The Israeli military said Thursday it had killed Ahmed Balout, who it identified as a commander in Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force, along with two other militants.
There was no immediate comment from Hezbollah.
Israel says it has killed more than 85 Hezbollah militants and struck 180 sites used by the group in the past week, without providing evidence….
UAE Reports More Iranian Drone and Missile Attacks, Trump Says Ceasefire Holding
“Since the beginning of the blatant Iranian attacks on the United Arab Emirates, the air defences have engaged a total of 551 ballistic missiles, 29 cruise missiles, and 2,263 UAV’s,” the Defense Ministry said.
The UAE noted that ten people have been killed and 230 injured by Iran’s attacks, including citizens of over two dozen countries across the Middle East and Africa.
Friday’s strike was the third Iranian attack on the UAE this week.
During Operation Epic Fury in March and April, Iran launched thousands of missiles and drones at the UAE and other neighboring countries, including Israel, Qatar, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia.
The UAE said on Friday it would establish a committee to document “Iranian acts of aggression, international crimes and the damages resulting from them.”
The committee, chaired by the attorney general of the Emirates, will prepare documentation “in accordance with the highest legal and technical standards,” using “reliable evidence.”
These documents will be introduced as evidence when the UAE seeks to recover damages from Iran in international court.
The UAE Foreign Ministry rejected Iran’s attempts to justify its attacks based on Emirati cooperation with the United States, stating that the UAE’s international relations are a “purely sovereign matter” and cannot be dictated by Tehran….

State records cited by investigators said Beydoun’s company received an initial $10 million deposit on April 1, 2023, from a $20 million state grant intended to attract more business activity to Michigan.
Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel alleges Beydoun instead used grant funds for personal enrichment, including maintaining a $550,000 annual salary.
“Today, we allege Fay Beydoun sought and received a $20 million ‘Michigan enhancement grant’ from the state Legislature, operated a criminal enterprise to use those funds for personal expenses and her own enrichment, and lied repeatedly when reporting how she used those funds,” Nessel said of the charges.
“The process by which this ‘grant’ was proposed, developed, awarded, and administered bears practically zero semblance to the traditional grant process, and was only made possible through a system that pairs political cronyism with minimal oversight,” Nessel continued.
Federal records show that Beydoun donated well over $50,000 to various Democratic campaign committees following the grant in April 2023.
